The garden surrounding Podere Il Chiesino extends over a beautifully maintained area of 500 square metres within a broader estate of 20 hectares of land, entirely fenced and fully accessible to guests. Lush lawns and a rich variety of trees, including pines, olives, and firs, create numerous shaded spots from which to admire the sweeping panorama over the crags of Volterra and the surrounding hills. The property is further adorned with luxuriant creepers and a colourful variety of flowers such as roses and daisies, while aromatic plants including rosemary and laurel add a distinctly Tuscan sensory dimension to the outdoor experience. The ground-floor bedroom enjoys direct access to the garden, and the main entrance area features a French window beautifully framed by flowering jasmine. On the first floor, the family suite opens onto a small raised terrace in the garden, where a brick-built barbecue invites al fresco cooking. Please note that photographs of the property were taken in spring, so the appearance of the garden, including flower blossoming and the colour of the grass, may differ at the time of your arrival.
The non-heated rectangular infinity pool, measuring 13 x 5 metres with a depth ranging from 1 to 1.50 metres, is positioned behind the property in front of the veranda, set on a terrace below the level of the house and accessible via a path and a few stone steps. Lined in sand-coloured granite, the pool features submerged steps for easy water access, internal lighting, and a chlorine purification system. The surrounding sunbathing area is thoughtfully arranged with sofas, umbrellas, and sunbeds, and a cold-water shower is also available. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
One of the property's most celebrated features is the glass-enclosed veranda, a large, light-filled room framed by expansive windows that offer a magnificent view of the town of Volterra. Elegantly furnished with a dining table and a cosy sitting area, this versatile space is ideal for dining in good company or simply relaxing while taking in the surrounding landscape. Podere Il Chiesino accommodates a maximum of 10 guests across 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, thoughtfully distributed over 2 floors to ensure both privacy and a sense of communal living. On the ground floor, the main entrance opens into a spacious dining room. To the left lies the large, modern, and well-equipped kitchen with direct outside access. To the right of the entrance, a small sitting room with a fireplace and television leads through to a double bedroom with direct access to the garden. A hallway with a wardrobe connects this bedroom to a bathroom with shower, which serves the ground floor sleeping area. Adjacent to the bathroom is a technical room housing the laundry area. From the sitting room, the glass-enclosed veranda is accessed, offering a dining table and a relaxing sitting area with views over the pool.
An internal staircase from the sitting room leads to the first floor, where 2 double bedrooms are located, each with its own ensuite bathroom with shower.
