Nestled in the heart of Finland, this charming two-storey log cottage offers an exceptional holiday rental experience on the shores of Lake Unnukkajärvi in Leppävirta, located 70 km south-east of Kuopio. Built in 2006, the property accommodates up to 10 guests across its thoughtfully arranged living spaces. On the ground floor, you will find a welcoming entrance hall, a spacious kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, a utility room, and a shower room complete with a walk-in shower and toilet, both benefiting from underfloor heating, as does the entrance hall. A glass veranda of 15 m² serves as an elegant dining space with a table for 10 people, while an additional terrace extends your living space outdoors. On the upper floor, a lounge area with a TV provides a comfortable retreat, accompanied by 2 alcoves with curtains each containing a double bed, and a further 2 alcoves with curtains each fitted with 2 single beds. A toilet is also available on the upper floor, though it is designed to flush liquid only. A separate yard house includes a sleeping room with a double bed and electric heating, available for use from May to October only, as well as a carport. Staying connected is effortless thanks to Internet Wifi available at the property.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of this lakeside retreat are truly exceptional, with Lake Unnukkajärvi just 5 m from the cottage, offering a hard sanded beach with both deep and shallow areas ideal for guests of all ages. 2 private boats are available for your use, launching from 2 dedicated piers that extend into the lake. A separate lakeside sauna building enhances the outdoor experience, featuring a fireplace room with a sofa bed, creating a cosy and authentic Finnish atmosphere. Please note that only cold water is supplied to the sauna. The surrounding yard also includes a Biolan outdoor toilet for additional convenience.

Other Information

The well water at the property is iron-rich, and it is therefore recommended that guests bring their own drinking water. As a thoughtful gesture, the owner provides clients with a canister of water at the start of their stay. The cottage is equipped with a central vacuum cleaner for your convenience. It is important to note that the maximum occupancy of the property is 10 guests, even though alternative beds are available for summer use. The sleeping room in the yard house may only be occupied between May and October.
