Nestled in the heart of the Finnish archipelago, this charming log cottage offers an authentic and peaceful holiday rental experience in Sauvo, Finland. Built in 2004 and thoughtfully renovated in 2022, the property combines rustic character with modern comfort, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a genuine connection with nature. The cottage features a well-appointed kitchen and living room, an alcove with 2 beds, and a loft sleeping area with 4 mattresses, complete with a child safety gate for added peace of mind. A toilet is also available on the premises. For guests travelling with an electric vehicle, the property is equipped with a Type 2 EV Charging Station offering a charging power of 5.5 kW, available for an additional fee. The activation of the charging point must be booked and paid at the time of reservation, while the cost of charging electricity is settled directly with the owner on-site. Heating is provided by an air source heat pump, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the seasons.

Outdoors

The cottage is situated approximately 40 metres from the Archipelago and Peimari waterway, which is approximately 1 kilometre wide and features both shallow and deep soft clay bottom areas. Guests have access to a private pier and the use of a rowing boat, offering a wonderful opportunity to explore the surrounding waters at their own pace. Please be aware that access to the beach is relatively steep. The terrace serves as the sole entrance to the sauna and shower facilities, making it a central and functional outdoor space. The resort also offers excellent fishing opportunities, though net fishing is not permitted. The rowing boat is typically raised at the end of October, subject to prevailing weather conditions.

Other Information

Guests wishing to bring a pet are kindly asked to book the additional Pet fee service at the time of reservation. The final cleaning is included in the rental price and covers basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and wiping surfaces. However, it does not include dishwashing, returning table and cookware to their original places, or garbage removal. Guests are required to remove empty bottles and cans from the property, return any moved furniture to its original position, and take away all food or dispose of it at the designated waste disposal point. Fish must be cleaned exclusively in the designated areas provided and must not be cleaned inside the cottage or on the terrace. Should the property require additional cleaning beyond what is covered by the standard final cleaning, the owner reserves the right to charge an extra fee accordingly. Regarding check-in and check-out times, during the summer season from June through August, reservations begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 12 p.m. At all other times of the year, check-in is from 4 p.m. and check-out is by 12 p.m.
