More and more tourists are flocking to the endlessly appealing Apulia each year and for good reason. The pretty town of San Michele Salentino is located in sunny Salento in Apulia. A half hour from the coast and within easy access of the famous towns of Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica, San Vito Normanni, Carovigno, Brindisi, and Lecce, it is a great base from which to explore the wider region. The town itself also has a lovely historic centre with pretty piazze and churches and a bunch of trulli, the traditional conical stone buildings that are typical of this part of the world.
