Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of this property are where its true character shines. A traditional yard sauna with a dressing room and a wood-burning sauna stove invites guests to enjoy one of Finland's most beloved rituals in an authentic setting. A wood shelter is also available on the grounds. Approximately 700 m from the cabin lies the boat site and swimming beach along the river Kymijoki, where the water deepens gently over a hard-bottomed shoreline, making it a safe and pleasant spot for swimming. At the beach, guests will find a rowing boat available for use, as well as a barrel sauna positioned on top of a pontoon, adding a uniquely Finnish experience to any stay. Please be aware that water must be carried to both the barrel sauna and the cabin during winter, while a water pipe is available for use during the summer months.

Other Information

The cabin's well water may contain a small amount of humus, and as a result the owner arranges drinking water for guests. It is worth noting that humus may slightly stain certain items such as laundry, and guests should be aware that there is no washing machine at the property. Pets are not permitted for reservations made on 31.8.21 or later, and the cottage is not suitable for persons with pet allergies, as the property may not be entirely free from allergens associated with animals.
