Nestled in a peaceful and secluded setting 17 km to the west of Iisalmi, Finland, this charming log cabin offers an authentic and restorative retreat for those seeking a genuine connection with nature. Built in 2012, the cabin is thoughtfully designed to accommodate guests in comfort, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a heat-reserving fireplace in the living room, a bedroom with a double bed, a WC, a washroom, and an electric sauna stove. On the upper level, an open space provides additional sleeping arrangements with spring mattresses measuring 160x200 cm and 80x200 cm placed on the floor, as well as a sofa bed offering a 120x200 cm sleeping surface. Wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the property, ensuring you remain connected during your stay. This holiday rental sits just 25 metres from the shores of lake Haapajärvi, offering breathtaking natural scenery and direct access to the water.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of this lakeside cabin are among its most remarkable features, inviting you to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding Finnish landscape. A shallow mud beach and a private pier provide direct access to lake Haapajärvi, and a rowing boat is available exclusively for your use, allowing you to explore the calm waters at your leisure. The summer kitchen is well-appointed for outdoor cooking and dining, equipped with garden furniture, a kettle grill, and a gas-heated grill pan, making it an ideal setting for relaxed meals in the open air. A separate lakeside sauna building houses a dressing room and a sauna room fitted with a wood-burning sauna stove, offering an authentic Finnish sauna experience with a wonderful view of the lake. In front of the sauna building, a hydro massage bath is available for the period 1 April to 31 October, providing a soothing and scenic outdoor bathing experience. Please be aware that the hydro massage bath is not available during the winter months. An outdoor toilet is also located on the side of the cabin for additional convenience.

Other Information

The hydro massage bath is included in the rental price for new reservations made from 22 April 2025 onwards. The garage located in the yard is not available for guest use during the stay. Guests are kindly asked to take note of the seasonal availability of the hydro massage bath, which operates exclusively between 1 April and 31 October and remains closed throughout the winter period.
