Nestled in the historically significant village of Suvanto in Pelkosenniemi, Finland, this charming silver log cabin offers an authentic and peaceful holiday rental experience in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Built in 1998, the cabin is a testament to traditional Nordic craftsmanship and is situated in a village of remarkable cultural and historical value, recognized as the only village in the region that remained intact during the destruction of the Second World War. The cabin accommodates up to 5 guests and features a combined living room and kitchen area equipped with 2 bunks sleeping 4 persons and 1 separate bed. The interior is completed by a washroom, a traditional Finnish sauna, and a WC, providing all the essential comforts needed for a relaxing stay in the wilderness of northern Finland.

Outdoors

The cabin enjoys a privileged outdoor setting directly alongside the River Kitinen and Lake Kokkonen, with the waterfront located just 30 metres from the property and the opposite shore approximately 300 metres away. The lake features a shallow shoreline with a firm, hard sand bottom, making it ideal for leisurely wading and swimming. A private boat is available for guests to use, inviting you to explore the calm waters at your own pace. The shore is partly shared, fostering a convivial yet tranquil atmosphere. For outdoor dining and gatherings, a roofed grill area is available and shared with the neighbouring cabins, identified as 16019, 16004, and 16005, providing a wonderful space to enjoy the fresh Lappish air in good company.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay, it is strongly recommended that you arrange final cleaning in advance of your arrival, as it is not possible to order this service on the spot. Should you wish to bring a pet along, a pet fee is required and must be added at the time of booking.
