Nestled on a green and sunny hillside plot, Muhola is a stylishly furnished and spacious holiday rental cottage located 32 km north of Savonlinna, in the Enonkoski area of Finland. Originally built in 1948, the wooden cottage was extended in 1985 and underwent a full interior renovation in 2025, offering a harmonious blend of traditional character and contemporary comfort. The property accommodates guests across multiple sleeping areas: the upper floor features a hall and bedroom with 2 double beds of 140 cm each, as well as a separate bedroom accessible via a passage, furnished with a double bed. A summer-use shed provides an additional double bed, making the cottage well suited for families or small groups. The interior includes a living room, a kitchen, a fireplace room, a washroom, and a separate toilet, ensuring all the essentials for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces at Muhola invite you to make the most of the surrounding natural landscape. A terrace positioned next to the summer-use shed provides a pleasant setting for outdoor dining and leisure, complete with a gas grill for alfresco cooking. The property also features an outdoor sauna with a separate dressing room and a wood-burning stove, offering an authentic Finnish sauna experience. During the summer season, the sauna is supplied with pressurized water, while at other times water is carried from the main cottage. The hillside plot is green and sun-drenched, creating a welcoming and tranquil outdoor environment throughout your stay.

Other Information

The cottage is equipped with an electric heater in the sauna in addition to the wood-burning stove. Pets are welcome at Muhola for an additional fee; when booking, you are kindly asked to select the additional service "pet fee" to confirm this arrangement. Please be aware that pets are not permitted on beds, sofas, or armchairs. You are also requested to bring your own sleeping pad and food bowls for your pet.

Muhola is situated 32 km north of Savonlinna, a city renowned for its stunning lakeside scenery and the historic Olavinlinna Castle, which hosts the internationally acclaimed Savonlinna Opera Festival each summer. The property does not have a private beach; however, the nearest public beach is located 12 km away in Enonkoski, the local municipality that gives the surrounding area its distinctive character. The region offers a wealth of outdoor activities typical of the Finnish Lakeland, including boating, fishing, hiking, and cycling, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this exceptional part of Finland.
