Outdoors

The outdoor spaces at Podere Calcheto are a celebration of the Tuscan landscape and the pleasures of open-air living. A gravel track leads from the entrance gate around the property and into a splendid park of approximately 2,000 square metres, where tall shady trees including cypresses, olives and oaks frame the house and its surroundings in natural elegance. The manicured lawn provides a serene setting for relaxation, while the covered outdoor dining area, located just a few steps from the main building, is equipped with stone tables, benches and a barbecue, offering the perfect environment for long, leisurely meals and convivial evenings under the Tuscan sky. The rectangular swimming pool, which is non-heated, is positioned to the right of the entrance gate, approximately 10 metres from the house. It measures 12 by 6 metres, with a depth ranging from 0.90 to 2.06 metres, and features internal lighting as well as illumination from 2 lampposts surrounding the pool area. A dedicated sunbathing area is furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas, and a gazebo and a cold-water shower are also available for your comfort. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what you observe upon arrival.

Unit Layout

Podere Calcheto is a single building thoughtfully divided into 2 separate units, each with its own independent external access, offering the ideal balance between shared holiday living and personal privacy. Together, the 2 units accommodate up to 14 guests across 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Each unit spans 2 floors connected by both internal and external staircases. Unit 1 occupies the left wing of the building. On the ground floor, you will find a dining room, a kitchenette and a pantry. A staircase from the dining room leads to the first floor, where a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower opens onto a sitting room with fireplace and satellite TV. Two further double bedrooms, one of which features divisible beds, are served by 2 adjacent bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. Unit 2 occupies the right wing. Its ground floor comprises a dining room and a kitchenette. The first floor hosts a living room with fireplace and satellite TV, 2 double bedrooms with divisible beds served by 2 adjacent bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub and a dressing room, and 2 additional double bedrooms sharing a single bathroom. Between the main entrances of the 2 units, accessible via a separate entrance on the ground floor, is a dedicated laundry room.
