This cozy 85 m² wooden cabin, built in 1992 and thoughtfully renovated in 2016, offers an authentic Nordic retreat for up to 8 guests, with the possibility of accommodating up to 4 additional persons through sofa beds arranged at an extra charge. The property is ideally positioned by the shores of the beautiful lake Unarijärvi, near the mouth of the river Meltausjoki, providing a truly immersive lakeside experience. On the ground floor, the cabin features an open-plan living room and kitchen complete with a fireplace, 2 separate bedrooms — one with 2 single beds and one with a double bed — a washroom, a toilet, a glassed-in porch, and an open veranda. A loft level offers additional sleeping and living space with 4 beds and a comfortable lounge area. Complementing the main cabin is a separate sauna building, which includes a traditional steam room heated by a wood stove, a bathroom with shower, a living room with fireplace, and a terrace. A washing machine is also located within the sauna building for added convenience.

The outdoor setting of Villa Unari is one of its most captivating features, with the calm waters of lake Unarijärvi just 20 m from the property. The lake stretches approximately 20 km in length and 5 km in breadth, offering shallow, clear water with a firm sandy bottom and a private pier, making it ideal for swimming, fishing, and leisurely waterside relaxation. The open veranda attached to the main cabin provides a welcoming space to enjoy the surrounding natural landscape, while the terrace adjoining the separate sauna building offers a peaceful spot to unwind after a traditional Finnish sauna session. The expansive natural environment surrounding the property invites guests to fully embrace the tranquility and beauty of the Finnish wilderness throughout their stay.

Other Information

Villa Unari welcomes pets, subject to an additional fee agreed upon at the time of booking. The property can accommodate a maximum of 8 persons, and extra sleeping arrangements for up to 4 additional guests can be organized through sofa beds for an extra charge. The rental includes 2 boxes of firewood as part of the standard package, with 1 box designated for the sauna building and 1 for the main cabin. Should additional firewood be required beyond this allocation, the owner charges per box at the applicable rate. Guests wishing to charge an electric vehicle during their stay must arrange this directly with the owner prior to arrival, as prior agreement is mandatory for this service.
