Originally built in 1948 as a school building, the property was thoughtfully renovated and adapted for holiday use, with the most recent renovation completed in 2014. The interior walls, largely composed of original logs, lend the home an authentic and warm character that is both historic and inviting. The property is divided into 3 distinct sections. The main house features a large hall, a smaller hall, a fully equipped kitchen, and 3 bedrooms: the first bedroom contains a bunk bed and a single bed, the second bedroom is fitted with 2 bunk beds, and the third bedroom offers 2 beds. A separate section of the house, accessible via its own entrance while also being connected to the main building, includes 2 additional bedrooms, with the first containing a single bed and 2 bunk beds, and the second furnished with a double bed. This section also benefits from a kitchenette equipped with a sink, stove, fridge, and microwave, a sauna with a wood stove, a bathroom with 2 showers, a room with a fireplace, and a toilet. A smaller third section of the house provides a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a living room, and a room with an extra bed. Among the additional amenities found throughout the property are a baking oven, a wood stove, 2 fridge-freezers, 3 air heat pumps, and karaoke equipment.

Outdoors

The property enjoys a privileged outdoor setting, positioned just 50 metres from the shores of lake Hoikkajärvi, a naturally beautiful lake stretching 2.8 kilometres in length and 500 metres in width, known for its rather deep natural water and soft stony bottom. A private pier provides direct lake access, and guests have the use of a rowing boat and 2 canoes, making it easy to explore the calm waters at leisure. The lakeside sauna is a highlight of the outdoor offering, featuring a steam room and dressing room with electric light; water for this sauna is carried from the lake, located just 10 metres away. A traditional sauna is also available on the grounds, equally equipped with a steam room, dressing room, and electric light. A barbecue hut situated in the yard provides an ideal setting for outdoor dining and social gatherings, allowing guests to fully embrace the surrounding natural environment.

The property is heated by 3 air heat pumps and a wood stove, ensuring a comfortable stay across all seasons.
