Originally built in the 1800s and completely renovated in 2012, the main log house combines historic charm with modern comfort, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The property accommodates up to 5 guests in the main configuration, with capacity for up to 8 guests during the summer season from 1 June to 31 August, when an additional separate sauna building is included. The main house features a spacious kitchen-living room, a bedroom with a double bed and 2 separate beds, an alcove with a double bed measuring 140 cm in width accessible through the bedroom, a shower room with WC, and an infrared steam sauna shower cubicle. It is important to note that there is no traditional sauna within the main house itself. The property is situated just 150 metres from the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi, specifically the Junttiselkä basin, offering direct access to one of the region's most scenic and expansive bodies of water. Guests have exclusive use of a private rowing boat, making this an ideal base for those who appreciate nature, stillness, and the timeless beauty of the Finnish lake landscape.

A large dock with a patio sits just 150 metres from the main house, providing a wonderful spot to enjoy the open water views across the Junttiselkä basin, which stretches 1.4 kilometres in width and forms part of the broader Lake Pyhäjärvi, measuring 27 kilometres in length and 9 kilometres in width. The lake bottom is notably soft and sandy with some rocks, making it particularly suitable for swimming. A private rowing boat is available for guests to explore the lake at their leisure. Adjacent to the main house, a small red wooden building houses a traditional heated sauna alongside a summer kitchen and barbecue area, creating an ideal setting for outdoor cooking and convivial gatherings. Hot water is available from the summer kitchen via a 60-litre boiler during the summer season. This traditional sauna can also be heated during the winter months, though water must be heated separately in a water tank, or alternatively guests may use the shower facilities in the main building. From 1 June to 31 August, an additional separate sauna building of 48 square metres, constructed in 2014, is included and is located approximately 100 metres from the main house, with direct access to the beach just 50 metres away. This building features an electric stove sauna, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a living room with a fireplace and baking oven, and a bedroom with 2 single beds.

Other Information

The separate sauna building available from 1 June to 31 August is equipped with electric lighting, electric heating, and cooking facilities including hot plates, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a coffee maker, as well as a television. During this summer period, the property may be reserved for a maximum of 8 guests. In this case, guests are asked to mark 5 people on the reservation form and to enter the actual number of guests in the additional information field, for example by writing "staying 4 adults and 4 children." Outside of the summer season, the standard capacity applies without access to the additional building. This property is rented exclusively to families and other groups who appreciate a quiet and peaceful holiday environment. Reservations are not accepted for groups consisting entirely of guests under 25 years of age.
