From here, every day, you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view over the city of Arezzo and its valleys, a view that becomes even more suggestive at night with the thousands of tiny lights that seem to chase each other. You will reach the centre of Arezzo in less than 10 minutes by car and here you will find all the necessary amenities and services, as well as museums, magnificent churches, cathedrals and monuments to visit.
One of the villa's bonuses is certainly its location. It is located within the Pomaio winery, a renowned winery that produces its excellent wines following the rules of eco-sustainability. Pomaio is listed as one of the 13 most beautiful Design Cellars in the Region of Tuscany for the Toscana Wine Architecture project, and this 'Green' philosophy was also followed for the renovation of the villa. The result is an environment that is at once elegant and refined, yet warm and genuinely welcoming, where every room has been curated with exceptional attention to detail. The property is enveloped by a fenced park of approximately 7,000 square metres, featuring centuries-old holm oaks, rose gardens, rosemary bushes, and shaded relaxation areas, all set within a broader 6-hectare estate that includes a vineyard, an olive grove, and a small orchard. The swimming pool, which is open all year round and is non-heated, is a stunning rectangular structure measuring 25 by 5 metres, with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 2 metres. It features an infinity edge on one side, full tile lining with a border in local white travertine, salt purification, internal lighting, and 2 metal access ladders. Partially covered for added comfort, the pool is surrounded by a 200-square-metre solarium area equipped with sunbeds, deck chairs, tables, and gazebos. A charming shaded pergola covered in climbing jasmine with tables and chairs stands directly in front of the pool, while an adjacent bathroom with 2 showers and a decorative fountain with large steps completes the pool area. The synthetic-grass tennis court is well maintained and available for guests throughout their stay, and the park also includes games for children. Solar panels have been installed discreetly within the estate. Guests should note that photographs of the property are taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of arrival.

To the right of the entrance is a living room furnished with a Smart TV, sofa, armchairs, and a table seating 6, with direct access to the outside. To the left is an elegant sitting room with frescoed ceilings, an antique stone fireplace, sofa, armchairs, a tuned piano, and a dining table seating 8, also with direct access to the outside. A short corridor from the entrance leads on the left to a guest bathroom and a small games room with table football, and on the right to a dining room with an extendable table seating up to 14 people, with direct access to the gazebo and pool area. The dining room connects through a small arch to the kitchen, which features a marble peninsula with stools, a wooden table with bench and chairs for 8 people, a TV, and a direct outside exit. From the kitchen, through a door and up 4 steps then down 4 steps, guests reach the laundry area, which includes a wood oven, a bathroom with shower, and the staircase leading to the caretaker's private quarters. Ascending 21 steps to the first floor, a small landing leads through 2 separate doors to the two wings. The right wing contains a study, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom featuring both shower and tub, 3 additional double bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower and tub. The left wing houses a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a study with Smart TV. A further 21 steps lead to the second floor, where a small landing gives access to a double bedroom with walk-in closets, a bathroom with shower, and a charming small TV room with Smart TV, enriched by a collection of antique books. The second floor also features a furnished panoramic terrace, accessible from the corridor through a French window, offering sweeping views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.
