Farmleben pur! Wir haben eine tolle Zeit inmitten all der Tiere, der wundervollen Landschaft, der reifen Feigen, Brombeeren, etc, nicht zu vergessen dem super Gemüsegarten von Sandro - unserem tollen und sehr hilfsbereiten Gastgeber- verbracht. Der Pool, der Tischkicker, das Trampolin und die Tischtennisplatte haben uns und unseren glücklichen Bauernhofkindern ( 2 familien mit 4 kindern 6+8 Jahre) die restliche Zeit so vertrieben, dass sie wie im Flug ( trotz zeitweise schlechten Wetter) verging. Danke an Sandro, Corinna und Niccolò fürs Ziegenmelken, Hühnerfüttern, die tollen Tipps, die geschenkten Marmeladengläser ( zum Einkochen der vielen Feigen, Pflaumen und Brombeeren).

Die morgendlichen 20 minütigen Spaziergänge hoch ins Dorf zum Bäcker haben schöne Blicke eingebracht. Die erste Anfahrt war etwas schwer zu finden und unser Auto hätte nicht viel breiter sein dürfen, bei späteren Ausflugsfahrten waren wir jedoch gut eingespielt. Auch mit Fahrradträger ist es gerade noch möglich ( radeln aber noch für Bergfahrer möglich)

We had a great time amidst all the animals, the beautiful landscape, the ripe figs, blackberries, etc, not to mention the super vegetable garden by Sandro - our wonderful and very helpful host. The pool, table football, trampoline and table tennis have kept us and our happy farm children (2 families with 4 children 6+8 years) occupied for the remaining time so the time (despite sometimes poor weather) flew away. Thanks to Sandro, Corinna and Niccolò for milking goats, feeding chickens, the great tips, the glass jars (for preserving the many figs, plums and blackberries).

The 20 minute walk up to the village to the bakery in the morning gave us beautiful views. The first directions were somewhat hard to find and our car should not have been much broader but during our later excursions all worked out well. Even with a bike rack, it is just possible (to bike up only for cyclist with experience in the hills).

Genauso wie man sich eine Casa Rustico vorstellt. Wir wurden von Carla nach einer langen Fahrt herzlichst begrüßt und fühlten uns sofort zu Hause. Die Mitbenutzung des Pools war auch großartig. Wir würden jederzeit wieder diese Unterkunft wählen. Sie liegt optimal zwischen Florenz und Siena in einem traumhaften Tal. Alles ist sehr gut erreichbar.Top.

We loved staying at the Palazzo, our accommodation was lovely itself but having the run of the grounds was an added bonus. To make it perfect, it would have been great to have some outside lighting - it was hard to see if meat was done on the barbeque in the dark! Also the internet mentioned as being available by the pool was very flaky but that may have been due to a big storm. Having a TV/DVD player would have helped a lot with my elderly mother in the evenings as well. But these are small things. We had a fabulous time, Carmen and Ionel (spelling?) were lovely and we would love to come again!

The main problem was that the rooms we reserved were wrongly described on EasyReserve. The type 5 apartment says that it has a double bedroom and a room with two beds (which is what we specifically wanted) as well as a sofa bed. In fact the second bedroom just had a single. This problem was solved by the local staff.
The negatives/suggestions for improvement
- the website (of the establishment itself and here on EasyReserve) could give some more details such as the fact that there is evening entertainment, restrictions on the swimming pool (opening hours, use of swimming cap) etc.
- the restaurant staff (we gave up trying to eat in the restaurant)
The positives:
- the ladies working at reception were generally friendly, polite, happy and quickly solved problems to make our stay enjoyable
- reception was open from early to late to get advice or sort out problems
- housekeeping staff were also helpful
- the pool is great (but could do with longer opening in the evening and less rules …)
- the buildings in the complex are well spaced out so we did not feel crowded
- the site is quiet (when you are away from the evening entertainment) with no major roads nearby
- the location is very good for a holiday focused on beach/swimming pool with occasional sight-seeing trips
What a great place to stay and experience the Tuscan life. Although the house is small, it is well equipped and gives all the comfort you need. The view from the terrace near the pool is great. The Puccini’s were perfect hosts and helped us without being intrusive. The accommodation was clean. The pool and garden were great. We experienced a lot of privacy . We both would return without hesitation. A small confusion was the distant sound of an ongoing party in Camucia. Part of the Italian life we presume. Booking through Easy Reserve went flawless.

We had a wonderful time at Col Di Forche. We loved how isolated we felt on the hilltop, but it was only a 10 minutes to the little town to have dinner at a great restaurant that the property manager suggested. The house was great and the pool was lots of fun and relaxing after a morning of exploring. We had fun cooking dinner and eating on the patio. We were glad that there was air- conditioning in the bedroom because it was pretty warm in August when we were there. We can't say enough good things about our experience there.

Property was in very good nick, well suited to our party of 12. Made to feel very welcome by Andrea and parents who lived at the villa, despite some language barriers! Some old furnishings and decorations gave the place character, whilst all amenities provided a modern experience for us. Nice pool (not very deep though) and gorgeous views towards Arezzo. Plentiful eating outside space and games.

Our stay at Villa Carolina was fantastic! At the first evening, we enjoyed a delicious pizza prepared by our hosts. Also the local wine tasted very well, ... we could use a drink after climbing with our cars at the top of the hill, where the villa is located, which indeed offers a breathtaking view of Poggibonsi,... We had everything we needed in the villa. The kids had a wonderfull time in the swimming pool and also the adults could use some refreshment in this african-atmosphere (40°C). The villa is perfectly located to visit San Gimignano, Poggibonsi, ... We wish the hosts Lucia & Gabrielle and daughter Carol all the best! And we surely hope to come back one day !!! Fam. Timperman.
