Cala Mariolu
Located on the eastern coast of Sardinia, Cala Mariolu is a pretty little inlet framed by rugged limestone cliffs with lush greenery and a golden strip of a strand that is a combination of sand and pebbles and contrasts beautifully with the emerald water of the sea. Popular for snorkelling and a good spot for diving, it is a perfect beach for swimming and laying out in the warm weather while being protected by the shade offered naturally by the rocks in the afternoon. With pleasant water temperatures right up to October, this gem of a beach is also an option for those thinking about planning an autumn getaway in Sardinia.

Spiaggia della Pelosa
One of the best-loved beaches by locals is the gorgeous Spiaggia della Pelosa as it has shallow, crystal clear azure waters that are perfect for kids to splash around in safely and are also ideal for those interested in snorkelling, it boasts soft white sand, and is one of the most picturesque beaches in all of Europe. Located near the village of Stintino on the Capo Falcone, the Spiaggia della Pelosa is made even lovelier by the striking panorama that acts as a backdrop and takes in islands, the majestic Asinara cliffs, a 16th century watchtower perched on an islet, and more. In addition to being simply scenic, the beach is perfect for those interested in water sports and activities as there are two diving centres in the area, the Asinara Diving Center and the Roccaruja Diving Center, and you can rent surfboards and canoes at the nearby Stintino Windsurfing Center. If you have found a villa in Sardinia, it is definitely one of the must-see beaches!

Tuerredda Beach
Considered the “jewel” of the southwestern coastline of Sardinia and located in a cove between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, in Teulada, Tuerredda Beach is both scenic and boasts excellent facilities. Beach establishments and clubs are located along the strand and one can rent canoes and pedalo boats, rubber dinghies, and mobile Flyboards, so you'll always have something to do and somewhere to grab a bite or a drink. While yachts bob in the waters off the beach and the crowd that frequents the area can be quite posh, the atmosphere is relaxed and unintimidating. Another picture-perfect gem, it is a popular beach that requires a visit if you are spending time on vacation in Sardinia.

Spiaggia del Principe
The stunning Costa Smeralda of Sardinia is especially famous for its beaches and among these are some of the most truly beautiful beaches in Italy and in the world, including the Poltu di Li Cogghj, often known as the Spiaggia del Principe today. Famously chosen as the Ishmaelite prince Karim Aga Khan's favourite among those endless gorgeous beaches of the Costa Smeralda for its especially fine white sand and crystalline water, the beach is located in a horseshoe-shaped bay near the small village of Cala di Volpe. Rather secluded, one must get to it on foot by two different routes through the fragrant Mediterranean scrub that surrounds, with an easier path and a more scenic option for those up to it. Well-equipped with umbrella and sunbed rentals and a snack bar selling drinks, ice-cream, snacks, and simple meals, it is both a secluded scenic gem (though certainly not obscure or empty) and perfectly set up for a great day at the beach.
