This week, the Spanish foreign minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya said that the European Union's so-called, “Digital Green Certificates,” may also be ready as early as mid-May, or if not by then, they, “will have a vaccination certificate by June at the latest".

These Digital Green Certificates can show either proof of vaccination, negative PCR test results, or recovery from the virus and they will be used to allow swifter travel between two different European countries this summer and will likely also be accepted to allow tourists easier entry into Spain this year, though this has yet to be officially confirmed by the Spanish government. Vaccine certificates will also likely be used to allow entry to bars, restaurants, theatres, and other similar venues and institutions as well, meaning that those who are fully vaccinated can expect to do everything they normally would on holidays, as per usual.
