A villa in Florence is ideal for heading to the Uffizi gallery to see masterpieces, climbing to the top of the Duomo to take in the iconic cityscape, seeing Michelangelo’s David with your own eyes, hanging out in the city’s gorgeous historic cafes, shopping in the ancient markets and major fashion houses, and much more besides. However, the trains and buses and various other modes of transport on offer make it easy to also plan day trips to Pisa to see her iconic Leaning Tower, to Lucca to wander her charming historic centre, to Montepulciano to go wine-tasting, and more.
