The main living space is open-plan. Guests arrive up a staircase into the apartment and immediately see the kitchen area against one wall in front of them, with a door opening through to the balcony and the best views in the rental. The kitchen area is relatively small and simple but has everything you could need for preparing meals during your vacation, including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, stove top, oven, Italian coffee machine, sink, and ample counter/prep space. To the left is the dining area, where the views can be enjoyed as you eat indoors. Then, continuing further to the left and into the apartment, there is a plush grey sofa bed in front of a television and walls lined with benches for additional seating. Then there are the two bedrooms – one double and one with two single beds – both of which are located off the living area, as is the luxurious bathroom. Both bedrooms have beds with soft linens and little else to distract, making them ideal places to retreat to and rest after days of exploring the Italian Riviera. The double room also has air-conditioning for your comfort and convenience. These two rooms also mean that the property is ideal for a couple or small family but the location of the apartment – upstairs and with balconies looking over a height – means that it is not suitable for those with children under five years of age.
As noted, the famously chic seaside town of Portofino is a short distance away from the rental and both the ancient port city of Genoa (just 31km or 19 miles away) and La Spezia (89km away) could also be visited on day-trips. In fact, the property is ideally located for exploring Liguria and this famously beautiful stretch of the Italian coastline, in general. Sori, the town in which the apartment is found may not be quite so well-known but it is a charming part of the so-called Golfo Paradiso, with a main square framed by shops, cafés, and arcaded buildings, a pretty historic centre, a lovely waterfront, and a series of old mule trails through the olive groves above the town that have been made into delightful walking routes.
