There is, of course, no shortage of incredible beaches to choose from along the famed Italian Riviera but if you book a villa in Liguria and you are after a perfect sandy beach for a day by the sea in the area then you might actually have a little bit more trouble. This is a beautiful stretch of coast, marked by the pretty, colourful clusters of buildings climbing up from the azure waters that are the towns of the Cinque Terre and the striking craggy cliffs lapped by the waves that make up most of the Italian Riviera. So, while it is certainly picturesque and a place full of lovely spots to swim, typical sandy beaches are less common. However, if you have found a vacation rental in Liguria and are after a traditional perfect sandy shore then the Spiaggia di Fegina is an ideal option!

Liguria is famous for her gorgeous coastline and it has made the region, particularly the Cinque Terre area, one of the most desirable tourist destinations in Italy. Impossibly scenic, this is a coastline made up of dramatic craggy rocks set over rich, jewel-tone aquamarine waters. There are some charming beaches but rather than long sandy strands, Liguria abounds in striking swimming spots. Here you might not have soft sands to lounge about on but you will find incredibly romantic places from which to jump into those stunning waters. And if you have found your villa in Liguria and are looking for a particularly lovely swimming spot throughout your vacation, then we cannot recommend the Grotta di Lord Byron highly enough.
