This lovely stone building is impossibly pretty and boasts endless character. A former priest’s home, Villa La Canonica Di Pietrafitta is made up of an old converted church with a bell tower and different little stone buildings that have been combined to form one impressive property within a paved courtyard. The result looks like a little hamlet in its own right and gives guests the sense of having taken over a little Tuscan town for their time on vacation in Tuscany!
A spacious garden hugged by cypresses and other densely green trees, views of rolling hills and lush Tuscan landscapes all around, a private pool, a terracotta roof, a pretty and traditional Tuscan kitchen, charming bedrooms finished with detail and care, high exposed-beam ceilings, a nice little covered area for dining al fresco, lots of rooms with direct exits out onto the terrace... all of this and more is what you can expect from the gorgeous and wonderfully and typically Tuscan Villa La Fragola (meaning Strawberry Villa) just 500m outside the village of Chianacce, 19km (12 miles) from Montepulciano. Positioned in an especially scenic and peaceful part of the world that is ideal for those looking to get away from it all and relax on their vacation, this gem allows you to get a real taste of the charming and slow-paced life of rural Tuscany while also being ideally located just 5km from the highway and allowing easy access to many of the region’s most famous destinations and attractions. Those who choose Villa La Fragola, therefore, will get the best of both worlds – the restful escape into the dreamy Tuscan countryside and plenty of opportunities to play the serious tourist and tick some key sights off of your bucket list. In addition to Montepulciano being just 19km (12 miles) away, other nearby cities include Cortona 20km (12 miles) away, Arezzo 45km (28 miles) away, Montalcino 52km (32 miles) away, and Perugia 62km (39 miles) away.
The stunning landscape of rolling hills and lush greenery of Tuscany is an innately inspiring place that can border on seeming unreal or like paradise, particularly the gorgeous Orcia Valley. In fact, if you find a villa in the Orcia Valley, you will easily see how beautiful it really is and understand why it was chosen for two very famous and pivotal scenes in Ridley Scott's Oscar-winning masterpiece, Gladiator. An enduring icon in the cinematic world over the past two decades, it was set in Ancient Rome but was filmed in locations across England, Morocco, and Malta, reconstructions of Ancient Roman cities and landmarks, and Tuscany's enchanting Orcia Valley.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Fabbri.

Truly beautiful villa - we hugely enjoyed staying here! The villa is well maintained and beautifully furnished. It's in a very peaceful location; a wonderful base for exploring the treasures of Tuscany, or to just hang out and relax. The only issues we had were with figuring out how to use the dishwasher (it's a professional restaurant style machine and not intuitive to use) and two of the bedrooms didn't have mosquito screens on the windows which made those rooms difficult to use.
