Private: property 300 m2 (fenced) with trees, natural garden, meadow. Outdoor shower, parking (for 2 cars) on the premises. Supermarket 1.2 km, railway station "Viareggio" 10 km, sandy beach "Lido di Camaiore" 8.2 km. Please note: residence with electric gates. Main road 20 m from the property.

1. Some of the prettiest walks in Tuscany

Those famous Renaissance walls that have Roman foundations but were built in their current form as a defense against Florence in the 16th and 17th centuries and still surround the town of Lucca aren't just appealing historic in appearance. This charming feature of the city is also an important attraction in its own right for those who are interested in architecture and engineering and for those looking to go on one of the prettiest walks in Tuscany. Used by locals and visitors alike as a place to walk, jog, and cycle since 1799, the whole wall is about 4 km long and is interrupted by 11 bastions, all different in design. Trees have been planted along the path around the wall, offering shade and making it a pleasant place to stroll, especially in the heat of the summer. As you walk around the wall, you will also be afforded stunning views over the old town and the surrounding landscape, making it one of the most pleasant and scenic spots for a walk in Tuscany.
