Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of Le Volpaie are a celebration of the Tuscan landscape at its finest. The 1,500 square metre garden has been carefully tended and enriched with an abundance of flowering plants, creating a colourful and serene environment throughout the seasons. Please be aware that the property photographs were taken in spring, meaning that the appearance of the blossoms and the colour of the grass may vary at the time of your arrival. The non-heated swimming pool, measuring 4 by 8 metres with a depth ranging from 1 to 1.90 metres, is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October. It is fully equipped with beach chairs, regular chairs, and a table, making it an ideal spot to relax while taking in the sweeping views of the surrounding Cortona hills. The outdoor setting as a whole invites long, leisurely days spent in the open air, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the Valdichiana countryside.

Unit Layout

Le Volpaie is configured across 2 floors and comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests across 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the ground floor, you will find a large lobby, a lounge, a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom complete with both a shower and a bathtub. An internal staircase leads to the first floor, where a living room and study area features an additional single bed, alongside a double bedroom and a further twin bedroom, all served by a second bathroom with shower. In addition to the main house, a separate annex houses a dedicated laundry room, fully fitted with all necessary equipment.

Other Information

Le Volpaie is set along a partially paved and partially gravel access road that is steep, very narrow, and mountainous in character, featuring a couple of sharp elbow curves. The road is not suitable for vehicles wider than 2.20 metres, nor for low or sports cars or vehicles with automatic transmission. Guests are strongly recommended to travel along this road using small or medium-sized vehicles, and cars such as BMW, Audi, or Mercedes are not advised. Pets are welcome at the property. Heating is available and billed on consumption at current market prices. A laundry room with all necessary fittings is located in the annex outside the main house.
