Outdoors

The outdoor spaces at La Vecchia Fonte are thoughtfully designed to invite relaxation and al fresco living at every turn. The garden, covering approximately 4,000 square metres, seamlessly blends stone-paved areas with stretches of immaculate lawn, creating a serene and welcoming environment. A comfortable portico directly outside the main kitchen provides a shaded dining area, perfect for leisurely meals in the open air, while a large panoramic terrace furnished with sofas and armchairs offers an elevated vantage point just a few steps from the pool — an ideal setting to savour the legendary Tuscan sunsets as the light fades over the patchwork of green hills and cultivated fields below. A stone barbecue is available for guests who wish to enjoy outdoor cooking, adding a rustic and convivial dimension to evenings in the garden.

The centrepiece of the outdoor area is the stunning newly-built infinity pool, positioned on the lower terrace of the garden approximately 15 metres from the main house. Reached via a paved path across the lawn and then down one of 2 flights of steps set on either side of the area, the pool measures 7 x 12 metres with a depth ranging from 1.10 to 1.80 metres. Lined in PVC and equipped with 3 large internal steps for easy water access, the pool features salt purification and both internal and external lighting, allowing for evening swims in a beautifully illuminated setting. The surrounding stone-paved sunbathing area is furnished with umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds, and a cold and hot-water shower is conveniently located on one side. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Heated pool service is available on request.

Unit Layout

La Vecchia Fonte is configured to accommodate up to 15 guests across 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, distributed between the main house and the adjacent annex located approximately 5 metres away. The main house is arranged over 3 floors on a two-level sloping terrain, which allows for direct entry from both the ground floor and the basement level. The main entrance, situated beneath the portico on the ground floor, opens into a bright open-plan living area incorporating a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. From here, a hallway leads to a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, as well as to staircases connecting both the upper and lower floors. On the upper floor, the sleeping area is completed by 2 further double bedrooms served by a shared bathroom with shower. The basement level features a study, a bathroom with shower, a laundry room, and a spacious living room furnished with large sofas and a satellite TV. Large French windows in both the living room and the study open directly onto the garden, flooding these lower spaces with natural light and providing seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

The annex, separated from the main building by a portico, is divided into 3 independent units — 2 on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor, accessible via an external staircase on one side of the building. The units are not internally connected and each has its own separate entrance. Every unit comprises a living room with kitchenette and lounge area with satellite TV, a double bedroom, a single bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. One of the ground floor units is equipped with a handicap accessible bathroom, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all guests.
