Nestled in the heart of Finland, approximately 70 kilometres west of Jyväskylä, this charming holiday rental offers an authentic lakeside retreat in the tranquil surroundings of Keuruu. The property is a two-storey cottage constructed from solid round logs in 2003, combining traditional craftsmanship with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cottage accommodates guests across several well-appointed sleeping areas: a sleeping loft with 2 beds, a downstairs bedroom with 2 beds, an additional bedroom with 2 beds, and a room with a fireplace that features an extendible extra double bed. In 2021, 2 further bedrooms of 10 and 12 square metres were added, each with 2 beds, significantly expanding the sleeping capacity of the property. Please note that 2 of the bedrooms do not feature windows. That same year, the kitchen and interior surfaces were also fully renovated, bringing a fresh and modern touch to the rustic character of the log cottage. The ground floor layout includes a living room and kitchen, a hall, and a bathroom, while the upper level hosts the sleeping loft. A wood-heated sauna and bathroom are available within the main cottage, and open terraces are accessible on both the upper and lower levels of the building.

Outdoors

The property sits just 40 metres from the shores of Lake Sammionselkä, a scenic body of water stretching 4.7 kilometres in length and approximately 200 metres in width. The shoreline is characterised by a rather steep bank with a hard clay bottom, and guests have exclusive use of a private boat, making it easy to explore the lake at leisure. Open terraces on both the upper and lower levels of the cottage provide ideal spaces for outdoor relaxation, taking in the surrounding natural landscape and the peaceful atmosphere of the Finnish lakeside setting. A lakeshore sauna is available for use between June and September, offering a truly immersive Nordic experience directly at the water's edge. This lakeshore sauna also provides the possibility of 4 additional sleeping places, available for a separate fee, with reservation and payment made directly to the owner. An outdoor hot tub is available for an additional fee, offering a luxurious way to unwind in the open air throughout your stay. A smoke sauna is also available on the property for a separate fee, adding yet another layer of authentic Finnish tradition to the experience.

Other Information

The 2 additional bedrooms constructed in 2021 do not include windows, which guests are encouraged to consider when planning their stay. The lakeshore sauna is exclusively available during the period from June to September, and the 4 extra sleeping places it accommodates are subject to a separate fee, with all arrangements made directly with the owner. The outdoor hot tub is offered at a separate daily, weekend, or weekly rate depending on the duration of use, and the smoke sauna is similarly available upon request for an additional charge. All fees for optional services and facilities are to be arranged and settled directly with the property owner.
