Nestled on the shores of the pristine lake Iso-Roine in Hauho, Finland, this charming log cabin offers an authentic and peaceful retreat for those seeking a true Nordic holiday rental experience. Built in 2006, the cabin is surrounded by unspoiled natural scenery and provides direct access to one of the region's most beautiful clear-watered lakes. The property accommodates guests across a well-organized interior that includes a living room and kitchen area with a sofa bed, 2 bedrooms each furnished with 2 beds — one located on the ground floor and one on the upper floor — as well as a sleeping loft with 4 beds, offering generous sleeping capacity for families or groups. The cabin is equipped with a traditional wood-heated sauna, a washroom, and separate toilet facilities on both the ground floor and the upper floor. A covered porch completes the interior layout, providing a sheltered space to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. Please be aware that network connectivity in the area may be limited.

Outdoors

The outdoor setting of this log cabin is defined by its immediate proximity to lake Iso-Roine, a stunning body of water stretching 8 km in length and 2 km in width, located just 20 m from the cabin. The lakeshore features a rocky bottom, and steep stairs lead directly from the front of the cabin down to the private pier, where swimming is possible via a dedicated staircase. A nature trail also connects the cabin to the pier, offering a scenic route to the water's edge. It is important to note that the immediate shoreline is not suitable for young children due to its rocky nature, which also makes direct beach swimming somewhat challenging. However, a fine sandy beach shared with neighboring cabins and fully suitable for children is located just 200 m away. The marina, situated 100 m from the cabin, is where you will find the rowing boat that belongs to the property. The boat is stored at the harbor given the rocky character of the beach. A short distance beyond the harbor, a path leads to an open meadow area offering opportunities for a wide variety of outdoor activities. The covered porch is furnished with a round log-made table group and connects directly to the sauna, allowing for a seamless cooling-down experience after bathing. The cabin does not have sun loungers.

Other Information

Check-in time begins at 16:00 and check-out is set at 12:00, with these times applying to all reservations including those made for weekends. An electric car charger is available for an additional fee and is shared in common use with the Lakka, Puolukka, and Varpu cabins. Guests should be aware that network connections in the surrounding area may be weak, and it is advisable to plan accordingly before arrival.
