In that article, we also briefly mentioned new regulations that were brought in this summer, allowing bigger dogs to be brought in the cabin along with their owners but what does this actually mean for those who book a villa in Italy and are travelling with their pet by air?

As temperatures cool after the summer months and now that our summer 2025 calendar is open for booking villas in Italy, it is a good time to consider the summer heat. Summers worldwide continue to get hotter and this is not something that is changing. While Italy is not even the country that is suffering most from this, it is a destination where people are really feeling the heat.

This is for a variety of reasons, most notably that air-conditioning is still not as universally used (though this is changing) as it is in some parts of the world, again for various reasons. If you are planning a holiday in Italy for the summer and you are sensitive to the heat or travelling with vulnerable people (children, older folks, people with various illnesses, et cetra) then there are some things that are worth keeping in mind in order to plan a comfortable stay so that you can make the most of your vacation.

Following on from the last post, we have been charting the adventures of the titular character of Ripley as he explores Italy. In episode three,  Ripley and his friend, Dickie, go on a trip to the town of Sanremo, in Liguria, a leading tourist destination along the Italian Riviera. Amidst the tense scenes, it is still possible to see the seaside charms of the town – the elegant buildings, the palm trees waving in the breeze, the lovely beach along the seafront, the pretty streets, and more. You might even take a cue from the characters and rent a boat for a trip, though hopefully in more pleasant circumstances! All is possible should you book a holiday rental in Liguria and come explore the delightful Sanremo for yourself.

As temperatures continue to hit record highs all around the world and summers continue to become hotter and hotter, those who love a sun holiday but want to stay safe and comfortable throughout their trip should take precautions.
