The Pieve di Sant'Ippolito is a small outbuilding in the heart of the Crete Senesi. You will find it on the outskirts of the village of Asciano, in a panoramic and sunny position. The property is composed of the manor house where the owners' family lives, an annexe and the very ancient Church of "Sant'Ippolito e Cassiano", whose origins date back to the 3rd-4th century AD. Inside the church you can admire a beautiful fresco painted by several renowned artists of the Umbrian school, such as Pinturicchio and Raphael, but erroneously attributed to the Sienese painter Giacomo Pacchiarotti a minor artist of the Sienese school. On 13 August, for the feast of Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, the church will be open to the public and a Holy Mass will be celebrated there. During the rest of the year, being part of private property, the owners allow it to be opened only on rare occasions, while guests of the house will be able to visit it freely.
You will reach the village of Asciano, with shops and services of all kinds, by a pleasant walk of just a few minutes.

Connectivity is fully provided through Internet WiFi, allowing you to remain in touch with the world while immersed in the Tuscan countryside. At the end of the driveway, just steps from the main entrance, a covered parking area accommodates up to 3 vehicles, ensuring convenient and secure access throughout your stay.
Outdoors
The outdoor spaces of La Casa dell'Artista are truly exceptional and form the beating heart of the property. Close to the entrances of the house, a dedicated outdoor dining area features a table sheltered by a large umbrella alongside a stone barbecue, perfect for long alfresco meals in the open air. The vast park, extending across approximately 3 hectares, transitions naturally into dense woodland at the rear of the property, directly accessible from the garden and crossed by numerous walking paths where glimpses of hares, porcupines, and roe deer can be enjoyed. The non-heated swimming pool, open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, is positioned on a terrace at a lower level approximately 15 metres from the house, reached via a short flight of steps and a paved pathway across the lawn. Measuring 6 x 9 metres with a constant depth of 1.50 metres, the pool is lined in PVC, features a wooden edge and a ladder for water access, and is equipped with a chlorine purification system. The surrounding stone-paved sunbathing area is bordered by hedges and furnished with sunbeds and an umbrella. Adjacent to the pool, a wisteria-covered pergola provides a shaded and relaxing retreat with a table and chairs, and a cold-water shower is also available for your convenience. Please note that the property photographs were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.

La Casa dell'Artista is configured across 2 floors connected by an internal staircase and is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests across 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the ground floor, the entrance leads into a welcoming living room, from which you can access a bathroom with shower, the signature kitchen equipped with a pizza oven and barbecue, and a bright veranda featuring a dining table and French windows that open directly onto the park. A back room accessible from the kitchen houses the laundry area. The upper floor is dedicated entirely to the sleeping quarters and comprises 3 double bedrooms, one of which is appointed with a queen-size bed. The 2nd bathroom on this floor features a whirlpool tub and is shared between 2 of the bedrooms, with the practical addition of 2 separate access doors.

Beautiful farming estate comprising 6 restored units situated on the Chianti hills, a short distance from the village of Mercatale (with general stores) and 22 km from Florence away. This property offers large outdoor areas and a nice panoramic pool with splendid views over the surrounding vineyards (producing excellent wines). All of the apartments provide welcoming interiors furnished in a rustic style. The units Tenuta 1 and 2 are approx. 50 from the pool away while the remaining units are closer. By the pool, guests can enjoy use of a beautiful panoramic terrace with sun-umbrellas and sofas and of a covered area with WI-FI in internet connection (WI-FI internet is also available near the reception, closer the units Tenuta 1 and 2).
The access to the property is via an unpaved road suitable to any car.
