“We stayed there as a family with two children (aged 10 and 14). What a lovely flat! Great location, lovely hostess, a natural pool that you usually have all to yourself. We had such a brilliant time. We were able to really unwind, away from all the hustle and bustle and distractions. Whenever we fancied a bit of action, we could be in Florence in just over three-quarters of an hour by car and tram. But there’s no chance of getting bored on the premises either: the natural pool is perfect for swimming and splashing about, and the hostess offers pottery classes – we were happy to take part and had a brilliant, creative afternoon. There was a very homely atmosphere. If we had any questions, there was always someone on hand to help. The dog and cats were friendly neighbours on the spacious grounds, which offered a fantastic view over the surrounding Tuscan hills. Despite the intense heat, the old walls kept the rooms cool even without air conditioning. Whether it was an espresso machine or a dishwasher – the flat had everything we needed to make our self-catering holiday a pleasant one. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a fold-out sofa bed in the living room. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy. Using the living room as a bedroom was fine too, as in summer socialising took place outside in front of the holiday flat in the cosy seating area. The only thing we’d be better prepared for next time is the large number of mosquitoes. Perhaps mosquito nets over the beds would also be a good idea. And the road up the mountain could do with a bit of work for cars, so that you don’t hit the ground so easily in one spot or another.
But all in all: we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet, nature and simplicity. We’d go back there time and time again.”

“The venue more than lived up to our expectations. Complete privacy and freedom, plenty of space and everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday. The owner, Paola, was extremely kind and helpful. There were 20 of us, plus a little dog, and we had a brilliant time.
