Certainly one of the highlights of the villa is the position, only 60 km from Rome. A visit to the Eternal City, takes just 1 hour by train and even by car the distance is not prohibitive. Villa Iris will be your ideal place if your dream is to visit the Eternal City in the Holy Year 2025, the year of the Jubilee, which can be reached comfortably in about 1 hour by train, and at the same time if you wish to treat yourself to a quiet and relaxing stay.
Villa Iris is located on the outskirts of the village of Corchiano. You can reach the centre comfortably on foot, without having to use your car for transport. In Corchiano you will find small shops and supermarkets as well as pizzerias and typical restaurants.
The villa is located in ancient Etruscan territory, on the slopes of the Cimini mountains, where numerous Etruscan tombs were found. You can explore the area enjoying the significant archaeological finds, preserved in the Forte Sangallo museum in Civita Castellana and also in the Valle Giulia museum in Rome. The surrounding green hills are dotted with small, characteristic villages that are well worth a day trip.
