La Torre di Vignale, with its distant military origins, still witnessed today by traces of battlements and a few embrasures, has been renovated, has regained the importance and charm of the past, standing out again majestically among dense forests of oak and chestnut trees and ready to welcome you, perfect for groups of families or friends who want a relaxing holiday in contact with nature.
The house is surrounded by a large and panoramic garden, full of flowers and equipped with a very special pergola, made in the old pigsty, with wooden table and benches and coloured cushions. In the completely enclosed garden, your children can play freely in absolute tranquillity in the shade of the olive trees and century-old trees, while you, by the side of the pool, can enjoy the sun while admiring the fantastic panorama of the valley below. For the little ones' playtime there is also a playhouse in a tree.
At the back of the house you will have at your disposal, for dinners or lunches in the open air, a comfortable equipped area, wood-burning oven and barbecue, where you can enjoy your meals in company.
Olivo is a rustic-style farmhouse, reminiscent of the old peasant houses, whose warmth provided shelter for the large families of our ancestors. The stone farmhouse and its two small houses date back to 1851, when the small village was inhabited by woodcutters, farmers and chestnut growers, the atmosphere alone will immediately take you back to those times.
The hamlet has been restored preserving its original features and using ancient materials such as terracotta, stone and old wooden beams. Even the furniture, functional and comfortable, has been chosen in respect of rural traditions.
Borgo di Usciano can be reached by an unpaved road through the woods of about 1.5 km, which is well maintained and suitable for all types of cars.
