Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.

A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). WI-FI internet connection available in some apartment, in the reception and restaurant area.

A white gravel driveway lined with fruit trees leads from the entrance gate to the shaded parking area beneath a kiwi-covered pergola. The private swimming pool is non-heated and rectangular in shape, measuring 11 x 3 metres with a constant depth of 1.50 metres. It features a sand-colored PVC lining with a sandstone border, access via a Roman staircase and a recessed corner with a shallow beach area, a chlorine purification system, and internal lighting. The surrounding solarium is paved with teak-effect anti-slip resin slats and is furnished with sun loungers, tables, an umbrella, and a solar shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Pets are welcome at the property, subject to advance authorization from the owner. Guests must communicate the number, size, and breed of their animals prior to arrival so that admission can be confirmed. The Zer0Dep Guarantee is included in the rental rate, meaning guests are not required to pay a security deposit either on balance or upon arrival. This guarantee includes EuropAssistance coverage in the event of accidental damage caused to the property during the stay, up to a maximum of 1,500.00€ and subject to the applicable restrictions.
