The Agriturismo Bevignano, at the centre of a thriving farm with 70 hectares of woodland and 1,200 silver olive trees, has ancient origins. They date back to 1600 when there was a monastery here, and you can still admire an ancient little church inside the property. This ancient village, located on the border between the provinces of Arezzo and Siena, nestled in the wooded hills north of Monte San Savino, still retains its architectural features that make it a place full of charm and history. You will feel as if catapulted into another century, in contact with nature and the simplicity of country life.

The property is divided into two stone buildings, which in turn are divided into four independent apartments. Casa Vana and Casa Linda and the house where the owners live are in the first farmhouse, and Casa Ghigo and Casa Gesuina are in the second farmhouse. Each apartment has an independent entrance and will have a private outdoor area equipped with table and chairs for your outdoor meals.
The owners, after a careful study of the origins and traditions of the place, have decided to keep the original core of the hamlet unaltered, enriching it with sober and essential finishes and furnishings, which will give you the opportunity to experience a holiday in contact with nature and the country lifestyle, together with the comforts of modern life.
The Agriturismo is located in an extremely scenic area, the view you will enjoy from your windows will remain etched in your memories for many years to come. In the farm's woods and olive groves it will be fantastic to take long, relaxing walks; if you love trekking, this is absolutely the place for you.
At your disposal, on hot summer days, is the large swimming pool (size 7x14 m. - depth 1.00-2.50 m. - open from 01 May to 30 September). The property is accessed via 3 kilometers of gravel road, which is in good condition but sometimes steep with small stones typical of country roads, making them unsuitable for low-altitude cars or sports cars. It is strongly suggested that guests have their own rental vehicle to move inside and outside Tenuta Umbra, though sport cars and low-height cars are not suitable for the estate's white gravel roads. You are welcome to explore the estate on foot or by bike, and should you wish to move around by car, you may request a transfer within the estate through your concierge. Only transfers arranged through the Tenuta Umbra Concierge Team are permitted to access the estate. A Concierge Service is available from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm and remains available for emergencies outside these hours. Extra services and activities must be booked in advance as availability cannot be guaranteed for last-minute bookings. An integrated solar heating system maintains the pool water at pleasant temperatures between 23 and 30 degrees depending on the season and weather conditions. The property is surrounded by a very large garden that provides a safe environment for children to play and explore, while also offering plenty of space for outdoor activities and relaxation in complete privacy.

Description
The 8 bedroom Villa Sant’Angelo is immersed in the enchanting Tuscany hills. It’s an old country manor which once belonged to the noble family of Conti Ghezzi who loved to spend their holidays here.
Recently restored it has managed to maintain its original charm thanks to the rare finishings: antique wooden beams, terracotta tiles, stone fireplaces in the large rooms, choice of colours and the very large illuminated environment.
The furniture has been carefully chosen, both functional and comfortable, but distinguishable with the elegant Tuscany classical style furniture which can be found in most homes today.

At guests disposal:
The villa is completely enclosed by a fence and has an independent entrance and enjoys complete privacy. A large garden surrounds the house and here there is a private swimming pool (16m x 8m depth 1.5 mt).
From here, following a footpath, you can reach a lake, tennis court, and also other trekking footpaths within the densely thick woods.
Our guests are free to explore the farm and have free access to the large biological vegetable garden which has been cultivated using old traditional methods.

The farm is situated next to a large dense wood, and here there is a natural footpath which permits guests to reach the tennis court and lake.
Guests are free to explore the farm and go on long walks around the lake. They are free to use the tennis courts and have access to the biological vegetable garden which is cared for using old local farming traditions and methods.

We find Podere Marcigliano nestled in the green Valdichiana, on a gentle hill at the gates of the town of Cortona, which is a must-visit destination. First with its Etruscan and then Roman reminiscences, the town enjoyed considerable prosperity during the medieval period and from 1411 followed the glorious fortunes of the Granducato di Toscana. Its cobbled alleys that wind their way up the hill, the ancient buildings, squares and churches, will make you fall in love with this small and industrious centre of the Valdichiana of Arezzo area, a memory you will always carry in your heart in the years to come, we are sure!
In Cortona or Camucia you will find shops, supermarkets, typical restaurants and every kind of service you need.
Podere Marcigliano consists of 2 newly built villas, which nevertheless reflect the architectural characteristics of the farmhouses of the past. In the first building there are 3 apartments (Torreone, Tufa and the first floor owner’s apartment), in the second there are 2 units (Corito and Rugapiana).
Each apartment has a large green area, a beautiful swimming pool (size 7x14 m, depth 1.50 m - open from 17 May to 30 September and fully fenced), a barbecue, a laundry room in common use and children's games, and its own private area equipped with a furnished gazebo for your meals in the open air.
You will find yourself living your stay in contact with nature but still close to the major centres of Tuscany and Umbria. Its convenient location, quiet but not isolated, makes Podere Marcigliano the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday while not being far from the major communication routes that will allow you to easily visit, even on day trips, cities of art and small charming villages, little known jewels of the Central Italian countryside.
