The Experience
This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate. The English speaking estate staff can organize cooking lessons, visits to the wine cellars and will be glad to assist guests during their stay.
When you arrive you’ll find a nice clean well-maintained property with views of the hills perfect for a splendid holiday in Tuscany. Regardless of how you spend your days - visiting museums, sightseeing, shopping or just driving in the countryside, when you arrive home you can unwind with your family and friends at the pool for a perfect ending to another day in Tuscany. Lined in PVC and equipped with a salt purification system, the pool features submerged steps for easy water access and can be enjoyed even after sunset thanks to interior and exterior lighting. The surrounding solarium, finished in stone and lawn, is furnished with sunbeds, an umbrella, and a comfortable sofa with armchairs shaded by a gazebo. Hot and cold-water showers are available on one side of the pool area, and a security fence runs along the external perimeter. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Beyond the pool terrace, the garden unfolds across multiple levels, offering 2 terraces with sitting areas, a vine-covered American pergola with a dining table set within the fenced garden in front of the main entrance, and a spacious central courtyard housing a portico with a dining table alongside an outdoor kitchen complete with a stone barbecue and worktop. From this central living space, a corridor leads to a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The corridor also connects to a passage room, designed to serve as a reading, relaxation, or games room, which in turn leads to the master bedroom complete with an ensuite bathroom with shower. On the first floor of the farmhouse resides the owners, who are not present during the period from May to September. Guests are kindly informed that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering of plants and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what is visible in the images at the time of arrival. Pets are welcome at the property. Tourist tax may be applicable depending on current local regulations.

The surrounding lawn on this level houses the swimming pool, which is non-heated and irregularly shaped, measuring approximately 12 x 10 meters with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 1.80 meters. Covered in PVC with terracotta-bordered finishes and accessible via a Roman staircase, the pool is equipped with internal lighting and a chlorine purification system. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Description
Beautiful farming estate comprising 6 restored units situated on the Chianti hills, a short distance from the village of Mercatale (with general stores) and 22 km from Florence away. This property offers large outdoor areas and a nice panoramic pool with splendid views over the surrounding vineyards (producing excellent wines). All of the apartments provide welcoming interiors furnished in a rustic style. The units Tenuta 1 and 2 are approx. 50 from the pool away while the remaining units are closer. By the pool, guests can enjoy use of a beautiful panoramic terrace with sun-umbrellas and sofas and of a covered area with WI-FI in internet connection (WI-FI internet is also available near the reception, closer the units Tenuta 1 and 2).
The access to the property is via an unpaved road suitable to any car.
