You will find La Casina del Bosco in an extremely panoramic position, nestled among silver olive trees in the beautiful, green Alpe di Catenaia. The little house is located not far from the mountain pass that joins the two valleys of Casentino and Valtiberina and will allow you easy day trips in both valleys, in search of monasteries and castles and small, ancient villages carved in stone and unknown to most people. The splendid view that you will see every morning from your windows overlooks the surrounding luxuriant woods, thickets of ancient chestnut and oak trees, where wildlife still reigns supreme. All this makes the place extremely peaceful and almost enchanted.
The house is reached by a small unpaved road (approx. 2 km), which we do not recommend taking with sports cars. About 8 km away is Subbiano, an industrious village with supermarkets, restaurants and shops of all kinds, whose origins can be traced back to Roman times. In the small village of Falciano, just 3 km away, there is a typical Tuscan restaurant where you can enjoy pasta, meat and traditional dishes that we are sure you will not easily forget.
18 km away is the ancient city of Arezzo, to which we recommend you dedicate at least one day, strolling through its paved alleys and beautiful squares.
The little house that you will rent is the result of a recent restoration, built with ancient local stone but above all a depository of very distant origins, it was in fact once used by shepherds who stopped there during the transhumance.
For your days of complete relaxation, there is a panoramic swimming pool surrounded by olive trees ( size m. 6 x 2.70, depth m. 1.30 - open from 01st May to 30th September), a hydro-massage tub (5 seats, size m. 2.20 x 2.20 - available with extra charge), a pergola furnished with table and chairs to enjoy your meals in the open air, a barbecue and a fully equipped garden. The main house is arranged over 2 floors. On the ground floor, past a small hallway with a guest bathroom, you will find a dining room furnished with a dining table and a pellet stove, connected to a fully equipped kitchen with a central island. French windows in both the living room and the kitchen open onto a panoramic terrace of approximately 50 square metres, perfectly suited for outdoor dining. This floor also features a double bedroom complete with a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with shower and whirlpool tub, as well as a dedicated laundry room. A wood and iron staircase leads from the living room to the upper floor, where a twin bedroom with joinable beds and a further double bedroom are located, both enjoying access to a panoramic terrace and served by a shared bathroom with shower. The 2 apartments, each of approximately 60 square metres, are reached by descending a cement path from the main building to the intermediate terrace situated between the main house and the swimming pool. Each apartment has an independent entrance and comprises a living room with kitchenette, table, chairs, sofa, television, and Wi-Fi, along with a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

You will find the Agriturismo Le Balze in the heart of the Alto Valdarno, at the foot of Pratomagno, and 2 km from the small village of Castelfranco di Sopra. All around is a natural landscape of rare beauty, which will captivate you from the first moment, characterised by the presence of the 'Balze', secular examples of erosion that over the years have formed towers and rocky blades that rise majestically in the valley bottom.
In about 30 minutes by car you will be able to reach Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. City of the ancient Medici family, a heritage not to be missed, with its artistic masterpieces, the colourful marble of the churches and the lofty architecture, the ancient bridges over the Arno river and the majestic noble palaces with their immense gardens adorned with fountains, sculptures, grottoes, staircases and paths.
The villa is divided into three independent flats, in one of which on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with a bathroom suitable for persons with disabilities. The structure was born from the recovery of old farm outbuildings close to the main house where the owners live, who will be, albeit in a discreet manner, a point of reference for all your needs.
The owners, thanks to careful renovation using traditional materials such as wood, terracotta and stone and comfortable furnishings, have ensured that the villa is perfect for spending a comfortable and restful holiday.
Villa Le Balze overlooks on one side a wooden porch, equipped with table and chairs and perfect for your dinners and evenings in company, and the lush garden where you will have a barbecue and a table tennis. On the other side, the house overlooks the swimming pool area (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m - open from 10 May to 15 September), which is completely fenced off and for the exclusive use of guests.
At Agriturismo Le Balze you can taste and purchase excellent wine and extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables, fruit, and all the products of the farm. The farmhouse has a beautiful interior court yard, and about 50 m away is a completely renovated barn. Located south of Siena on the edge of the Crete Senesi, the property enjoys a tranquil, panoramic position inside a large farm (400 hectares) that produces wine and olive oil. Magnificent view of the countryside, characterized by the rolling hills of the Val D’Orcia and the city of Siena on the horizon. The apartments are furnished in a comfortable, rustic style. Here, in the small, pretty towns, you can spend an evening out for dinner or organise an aperitif with friends.
The property is divided into three apartments resulting from the restoration of old farm outbuildings close to the main house where the owners live. Traditional materials such as wood, terracotta and stone were used in the renovation carried out to maintain the building's rural and peasant origins. All the apartments overlook a wooden porch on one side, where you will have your own private space equipped with table and chairs to spend the cool summer evenings at dinner or with your family or friends.
In the large, green garden you will have a practical barbecue and a table tennis. The swimming pool in common use is located at the back of the building (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m - open from 10 May to 15 September) and is completely fenced. Laundry and ironing facilities in a common room.
