The villa, equipped with all comforts, is composed of a main house and guest house, sleeping a total of up to 12 people. The property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, from which the owners produce wine and olive oil (guests will be offered a tasting in the estate's cellars).
The house's central location is convenient for visiting Tuscany's most important places of interest such as Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and the entire Chianti area with its characteristic villages (Castellina, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, etc.).
Access to the house is via an unpaved road in good condition.
At guests disposal: large, well-tended garden with round pool reserved for guests' exclusive use (about 16 x 11 m- minimum depth 50 cm- maximum depth 1,4 m- open from 01/04 to 30/10), outdoor shower (hot water), changing room and wc in the pool area, barbecue, gazebo and wood-burning oven. Major restorations were initiated in 1898 by Count Filippo Sassoli de' Bianchi to restore its 15th-century appearance, despite significant 18th-century refurbishments, including the still-consecrated Chapel dated 1729. Renata is nicknamed Nonna Renata (Grandmother Renata) because of her age, but also because of the way she makes you feel at home in the villa. She is like a sweet grandmother who makes delicious dishes to make you taste Medici's dishes and ancient Tuscan dishes.

The queen of breakfast. Her cakes are among the best reviewed aspects of the villa. They are homemade and made early in the morning, just before the customers arrive in the salon near the kitchen. You will be greeted by an unbeatable scent of sweet cakes.

This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate.
