The apartment is on the top floor of the big farmhouse. Nicely renovated. The large living area is a bit empty with just two small couches. Unfortenately the is no electric kettle so that means heating water in a pan. In addition to the swimming pool photos there is a shaded area now. There were lots and lots of hornets (probably a nest in the loggia) and gadfly's. That made swimming in the pool a challenge. Two extra pillows would be nice, now there is just a thin pillow per person.

The view is amazing, looking over the hills and seeing Siena.

Location is near Siena and the highway to Florence, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and the Chianti region.

we loved our time in Tuscany at this beautiful house!
This home is very lovely and you are both so kind and helpful.
We enjoyed the plums from the tree, the views of the olive groves and vineyards and the pool!!!
This was definitely a peaceful retreat after the busy cities of Rome, etc..
Thank you so much again + we hope to possibly see Leonardo and Claudia in the future!

Very good location. The owners are very friendly and fair. The house is fantastic, equipped of all you need in the kitchen as well as in the rest of the house. We would like to come back soon.

6 couples stayed for one week. Beautiful villa! Very private and we loved it! Clean, everything you need and the pool was just amazing! Would 100% go back! Just needed better directions for getting there!

Casa Cipressi heeft onze vakantie tot een heel mooie vakantie gemaakt. De ligging , helemaal vrij met een groot stuk grond met olijfbomen en cipressen is zó rustgevend. Heerlijk dagelijks even zwemmen in ons eigen zwembad, op de tijd die je maar wilt geeft je een ontspannen gevoel. Het huis is prima verzorgd, we kregen tussendoor zelfs nog schoon linnengoed. Alles is aanwezig. Iedere slaapkamer heeft een eigen badkamer en overal zitten horren. Het huisje in de tuin geeft nog extra privacy voor wie dat wil. Terras is overdekt: geen last van de zon en ook 's avonds zit je er heerlijk!Tuin goed onderhouden, zwembad schoon, BBQ prima.
Bovendien is het een goede plek voor uitstapjes naar Sienna, San Gimignano ( kan je zien liggen vanuit de tuin)en Florence. Hebben wij met de trein vanuit Certaldo gedaan, dan stap je meteen het centrum van de stad in. Het oude centrum van Certaldo op de berg, te bereiken via de funicolare, is zeker ook de moeite waard!Kortom: een plek om nog eens terug te komen!!

The location, completely free with a large piece of land with olive and cypress trees is so soothing. Lovely dayly swimming in our own pool, at the time you want gives you a relaxed feeling. The house is well cared for, we even got clean linens midweek. Everything is there. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there are window screens everywhere. The cottage in the garden gives extra privacy for those who want it. The terrace is covered so you do not suffer from the sun and it's great also in the evening . The garden is well maintained, clean swimming pool, BBQ fine!.
Moreover, it is a good place for trips to Sienna, San Gimignano (you can see this town from the garden) and Florence. We went there by train from Certaldo, then you step straight into the center of the city. Also the old town of Certaldo is certainly worth short a visit, on the hilltop, accessible via the funicolare. In short : a place to come back !!

We had a wonderful time here in Tuscane. A perfect place for bothchildren and grown-ups.
A greathouse, a wonderful area. Hope we will come back one day.

We had an excellent week in Villa Orchidea in August 2014. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 5 children.

The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and situated in peaceful countryside with a view of San Gimignano in the distance. The children had great fun in the swimming pool.


During our stay we visited Certaldo, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa.

The local contact (Yana) who met us and who lives a short distance from the property was very helpful.

das Anwesen, die Einrichtung, die Lage, die Landschaft, die Vermieterin - alles war einfach wunderbar. wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen in borgo tollena verbracht und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.
