Tranquil splendid hideaway only minutes from Greve in Chianti. A well kept and cozy house just like we had hoped for. All facilities available in and around the house. We cooked great meals as well as dined at great recommendations left by the house owner. Certainly a place to return to.

Location fantastica immersa nel verde, vista mozzafiato e ospitalità cortese.
Immersi nel silenzio più assoluto, il massimo del rumore sono i galoppi dei cavalli o i grugniti dei cinghiali che ogni tanto si avvicinano alla proprietà.
Per raggiungere il podere ci sono circa 2,5 km di strada sterrata ben tenuta. Gli appartamenti sono ben curati e in tipico stile campagnolo.

Immersed in absolute silence, the only noises are the gallop of the horses or the grunts of wild boars that occasionally come close to the property.
To reach the farm there are about 2.5 km of well maintained gravel road. The apartments are well maintained and in typical country style.

Very nice house, clean and equipped with everything you need. Owner very helpful and friendly but at the same time very discreet. Ideal for a large family or a group of friends, you can reach both the sea and the beautiful countryside in a few minutes. To be recommended

The house itself was set in a beautiful location, but the grounds and pool were not as big as the photographs on the website suggested. Unfortunately on our arrival the house and outside area hadn't been cleaned properly and after a 9 hour drive, we had to clean the kitchen and fridge which smelled terribly of rotten fish(!) and then had to tackle the gravel, the urns by the front door and an old bucket of water, all of which were full old cigarette butts - not exactly what we had envisaged for our first evening's entertainment! For the duration of the stay the pool was not working, although three attempts were made to fix it - this was frustrating because I have four children and the whole reason for booking the property was so that they had a pool to use.It transpired it had not been working on the day we arrived, but our representative failed to mention this on our arrival.
One other negative aspect was the smell of oil fumes that came through the floorboards of the master bedroom upstairs. We woke up on the first couple of mornings with a terrible headache, so I think the extractor fan from the tanks below could do with looking at, as I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. The property itself was very pretty, and I particularly liked upstairs, where the bedrooms and bathroom were beautifully furnished, comfortable and spacious. It is a clearly loved family property but unfortunately the low level of cleanliness really let it down, as did the fact that we all felt the photographs were a bit misleading, giving the impression of a much bigger pool. I hate to give such negative feedback: it is a pretty area, with lots to do and see; ideal for visiting Mont St Michel, Bayeux, Flers and Arramanche, all of which we enjoyed. However, I couldn't really recommend the property as it was a lot of money for somewhere with so many issues. We spent three weeks in France this summer, in three different properties and La Moriandere was the mid-range in terms of price, but unfortunately bottom of the table in terms of value for money, cleanliness and facilities.
[Counter comment from the owner] The owner clarifies that wi-fi is available in two outdoor public areas (not inside the apartments); one under the entrance porch and the other between the pool and tennis court.
The signal (more or less strong) arrives even in some of the apartments (not in all) but it depends on the distance from the modem,
Furthermore, the quality of the reception also depends on the type of equipment used.
For some guests who have actually asked, the owner has made a computer with printer and internet access available for their use during the stay.
The owner will try to be more clear upon arrival on the wifi issue.

Substantial accommodation. Great pool and tennis court. Easy access to local towns, shops and restaurants. Ideally you need to take all three flats as many of the facilities are communal.

We just had a wonderful stay in Tuscany at Cerretalta villa and it was beyond perfect for our daily needs and vacation wishes. It's so close to everything (groceries, hilltop towns, etc.), yet far enough away (about 2km down a gravel road) that it feels truly private. The pool was used everyday by all and the kitchen(s) had everything we could possibly need/use, plus more. The bedrooms were actually spacious with air conditioning in each and the views were lovely in every direction. Every single member of our group (of which there were 9 of us) highly recommend Cerretalta, especially if you're interested in exploring the Siena/Montalcino/Pienza region. We have memories that will last a lifetime!

Sehr schöne Villa in abgelegener Lage. Die Wegbeschreibung, die man im Voucher bekommt, führt einen relativ gut direkt ans Ziel.
Das Anwesen selbst ist an einem Hang gelegen, wobei man vom Pool aus direkt über die hügelige Landschaft der Toskana (und in einen tollen Sonnenuntergang) blicken kann. Die Besitzer des Hauses wohnen auch auf dem Grundstück und stehen bei Fragen/Problemen immer bereit oder geben Tipps für Ausflüge/Essensmöglichkeiten.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im nächsten Ort (Paterno) in Form eines kleinen Lebensmittelgeschäfts. Für die größeren Erledigungen empfiehlt sich die Fahrt nach Pontassieve in einen Coop-Markt, bei dem man dann wirklich alles bekommt.
Nach Florenz sind es ca 45 Min mit dem Auto. Theoretisch könnte man auch mit Öffentlichen dahin kommen, aber wir haben dann trotz einiger eindringlicher Warnungen aufgrund des "höllischen Verkehrs" dort das eigene Fahrzeug gewählt... naja, wer zB in München einen Parkplatz findet, wird sich in Florenz auch nicht so schwer tun; zur Not parkt man halt einige Straßen vom Zentrum entfernt und geht die paar Meter zu Fuß in die Altstadt.
Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Villa und unserem Reiseziel ingesamt!

The property itself is situated on a hill, and from the pool you can look right across the rolling countryside of Tuscany (at a great sunset). The owners live on spot and are always at your disposal for questions/problems or give advice on trips/food facilities.
There are shopping facilities in the next town (Paterno) in the form of a small grocery store. For the larger shopping it is worth a trip to Pontassieve in a Coop market, where you really get everything is recommended.
Florence is about 45 minutes by car. Theoretically, one could also reach the town by public transports, but we have then chosen to go there with our own vehicle, despite some warnings due to the "hellish traffic" ... well, who, for example, found a parking space in Munich, is also not that hard to do the samein Florence; if it is needed, you can park just a few streets away from the center and it is then a few meters walk to the old town.
All in all we were very happy with the villa and our destination in general!

Les points positifs : très belle maison, grande et bien située (à quelques km -moins de 10- de la mer). Une vue à couper le souffle. Une piscine rien que pour nous. Le personnel très accueillant, à l\'écoute. Les points négatifs : équipement était un peu juste en cuisine (manque de casseroles, de poëlles, de couverts, pas de séchoir à linge). La 3ème chambre (sous les combles) : impossible d\'y dormir car trop chaud et pas de rideau ou store sur une fenêtre, donc trop de lumière très tôt le matin et donc, pas de grasse matinée. Nous avons évoqué ces points à la personne qui nous a accueillis, elle en a bien pris note. Si ces points négatifs sont résolus, c\'est avec plaisir que nous reviendrons l\'été prochain.
