Visiting the Eiffel Tower is a must for many travellers who have found a vacation rental in Paris and are exploring the city. Aa more than 7 million people visit the Eiffel Tower each year, it's best to be prepared for your visit. Here are things to keep in mind when planning your trip.
1. Opening Hours
The Eiffel Tower is, surprisingly, open every single day of the year with only variations in its opening hours. From mid-June through to early September, it is open between 9am to 12:45am, with the last elevator ride to the top departing at 11pm.

For the rest of the year, these hours are 9:30 am to 11:45pm, with the last elevator at 10:30pm. Stair access opening hours are also different: similar to the elevator times from mid-June to early September and cut back to 9:30am to 6pm for the rest of the year.
However, if you are just visiting the tower and walking around it, or taking in views of it, there is no limit to the times you can drop by. It is nice to wander around in the night during winter when the area is quiet and the Christmas markets are twinkling nearby and this is a good time to get pretty shots of the lights on the tower. For good photos during the day, the best time to arrive is before 9am, in order to get shots without huge crowds ruining your photos.
2. Trying visiting in Off-Peak Times
Wait times can be longer than two hours from mid-July through to late August but are less than 30 minutes during weekdays in January, February, the early part of March, and again November through mid-December. Google and the official Eiffel Tower website can both give you an indication of when would be the quietest times to visit during your stay so be sure to check it out before dropping by. There are skip-the-line tickets but these allow limited access and, in my opinion, aren't really worth it. Just plan your trip for the right time and you won't need to do anything else!
3. Buy Your Tickets Online
However, those with tickets bought online ahead of the time can use the “Visitors with Tickets” queue, which are usually shorter and will save you some time!
