Must-Read Tips For A Stress-Free Visit To The Eiffel Tower II

Eiffel Tower
Continuing on from the last post, we are discussing some tips and tricks that you need to bear in mind if you are planning on visiting the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is one of the must-see attractions for many who have found a vacation rental in Paris and are planning a trip there. In order to have as fun and stress-free an experience as is possible, these are the things to keep in mind!

4. Eat In The Tower

If you are strapped for cash, this one isn't an option but if you have money and time to spare, the most luxurious and relaxing way to visit and ascend the tower is by eating in one of the two restaurants, 58 Tour Eiffel (on the 1st level) or Le Jules Verne (2nd level). Each has its own entrance away from the regular lines, meaning you get to skip the queue entirely.
However, be warned, it isn't cheap. The 58 Tour Eiffel is an informal brasserie that serves "chic picnic" style meals at lunch for €37.20 and more formal dinners for €85 to €170. The view is great and the food is okay but not spectacular and you can't access the upper floors from the restaurant. Le Jules Verne is a formal French restaurant with a dress code and the prices are higher: we're talking between €105 to €230 for lunch and €190- €230 for dinner. However, the food is excellent and the views are even better. If you're doing Paris right, this is the best option.

5. Take the Stairs

Another way to skip the queue (or spend less time in it, anyway), is to take the stairs. Far fewer people do it, lines are shorter and tickets are cheaper. However, you do need to be relatively fit to make it! Also keep in mind that the summit of the tower can only be reached via the second-floor elevators, so you won't be able to go the whole way up with the stairs, if you wish to reach the top.

6. Check the Weather

Fog can ruin your views so check the weather in advance. If you want to book your tickets ahead of time online, book tickets to the second floor and then get tickets to the summit when you're onsite if the day suits. (Note: also remember that general-admission tickets do not include summit access, you must get top-floor-inclusive tickets for this and they do sometimes sell out in advance.)

With all this in mind, plan your trip now!
