Villa Romantica is a distinguished property spanning a total built area of 760 square meters, inclusive of the main villa and the guesthouse, set within a magnificent garden of 1.5 hectares designed in the twenties by Maurice Blondel. The property accommodates up to 16 guests across 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, divided between the main villa and the guesthouse, which cannot be rented separately and must be booked together as a single property.
The main villa develops across 3 floors and sleeps up to 12 guests. On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room with access to the garden and to the Andalusian patio, furnished with a dining table for 8 guests and 2 comfortable sofas. A fully equipped kitchen features a 6-burner stove, an electric oven, a large fridge with freezer and ice maker, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a microwave, and a dining table for 6 people. The Andalusian patio is a generous courtyard with 2 tables, one seating 8 guests and one seating 4. A toilet room and a laundry room, accessible from the patio, complete the ground floor.
The second floor hosts bedroom group A and bedroom group B, each sharing a dedicated bathroom. Bedroom group A comprises a master bedroom with lake view and a twin bedroom accessible from the patio, both sharing bathroom A, which is fitted with a bathtub and can be accessed directly from either room. A sitting room is also located on this floor. Bedroom group B includes a twin or double bedroom with lake view, where the beds can be pushed together, and a twin or double bedroom with a study room featuring 2 levels, with a desk, a TV, and a printer on the lower level and the twin or double bed in the loft above offering views towards the village; the beds in this room can also be pushed together. Bathroom B, equipped with a shower, serves both rooms in group B.
The third floor accommodates bedroom group C, consisting of a double bedroom with lake view and access to the terrace, and a twin or double bedroom also with lake view and access to the terrace, where the beds can be pushed together. This second bedroom in group C can only be accessed from the terrace or through the other bedroom. Bathroom C, fitted with a shower, is accessible only by passing through the twin bedroom.
The guesthouse is a separate structure of approximately 160 square meters in total, comprising 2 apartments of approximately 80 square meters each, developed across 2 levels and accommodating up to 4 guests. The ground floor unit features a living area with a sofa, a kitchenette, a twin bedroom where the beds can be pushed together, a bathroom with shower, and a washing machine. The upper floor unit offers a lake view living area with a sofa, a kitchenette, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Please be aware that the caretaker resides in a separate unit on the top floor of the property, accessed via an independent entrance, and that the owner and his wife may occasionally use one of the guesthouse units, in which case a small portion of the garden in front of the guesthouse will not be accessible to guests.

Lake Maggiore offers excellent transport connections, with buses and ferries linking the lakeside settlements along the lake, which stretches northward from Arona to Switzerland. The Swiss border is approximately 40 minutes by car from Baveno, and Milan is easily accessible by train for those wishing to explore the city.
A minimum stay of 1 week applies, with Saturday as the changeover day. Check-in is available from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and check-out is at 9:00 am. A late arrival between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm is possible upon request and approval of the owner, subject to an additional fee of 50 Euro. A security deposit of 1,500 Euro is collected in cash upon arrival and returned upon departure, less any charges for damages to the property.
The rental price includes final cleaning, utilities such as electricity, water, and gas, and Wi-Fi. A resident staff member lives on the property and works 8 hours per day, with Tuesday as their day off. A breakfast service is included between 8:00 am and 10:00 am, though food and beverages are not included in the price. Heating is charged upon consumption, and telephone use is metered. Upon request, cooking, food shopping, and advance provisions services are available.
The villa is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The fireplaces throughout the property are decorative and not in working condition. The villa is also close to Stresa (5 km) and less than 60 Km from the International Airport of Milano Malpensa and it can easily be reached in about one hour by highway or by train from the Milano Centrale station.
Lake Maggiore has excellent transport connections most visitors will spend their time exploring the lake, stretching northwards from Arona to Switzerland. Both buses and ferries connect the lakeside settlements. There are other options for exploring though. Milan is a short train-ride away for those in search of some city life. The Swiss border is only 40 minutes' drive from Baveno.
