Moreover, thanks to its position, 600 m above sea level and the large stone walls, the house, even on the hottest summer days, guarantees a cool and comfortable temperature inside, especially on the ground floor.
The Etruscan town of Cortona in Tuscany and the village of Trestina in Umbria are both about 18 km away, while restaurants and small shops for basic necessities can be reached within 5 or 10 km.
You can spend your holiday days bathing in the swimming pool (size 6 x 12 m - depth 1.20-2.40 m, completely fenced in - open from 01st May to 30th September), playing table tennis and enjoying tasty lunches and dinners in the cool gazebo furnished with tables and chairs next to the barbecue and wood-burning oven. Even the youngest children will have fun on the swing and slide.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).

A beautiful villa born from the skilful and refined renovation of an old manor house built at the end of the 19th century and situated in a panoramic position on a hilltop overlooking Lake Chiusi. Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.

You can also enjoy table tennis, billiards, or foosball for some friendly competition. Children can play in the children's playground next to the swimming pool. After dinner in the gazebo next to the pool you will be delighted by the sunsets, which offer different lights and colours every day.
You will certainly not be inclined to leave the house, but as there are beautiful towns and cities rich in art nearby, we would advise you not to miss the opportunity to visit them. Torrita di Siena, Montepulciano and Pienza are all within a maximum of 20 km, Siena is 50 km away.

The fenced park of approximately one hectare has been thoughtfully landscaped to alternate open lawns, winding paths, and paved areas, all enriched with flowering borders, medicinal plants, tall trees, and fruit trees. At the heart of the outdoor space, a shady pinewood and a garden planted with olive trees, hydrangeas, hibiscus, and jasmine create a serene and fragrant atmosphere. A pergola shelters a long dining table and comfortable outdoor seating areas, making it an ideal setting for al fresco meals and leisurely gatherings. Guests should be aware that photographs of the gardens were taken in spring, and the appearance of flowering plants and lawn colours may vary depending on the season of arrival.
The swimming pool is situated in a private, fully fenced area of the property, surrounded by dense woodland vegetation and positioned just a few metres from the main buildings. Access is provided through a child-safe gate, ensuring peace of mind for families with young children. The pool is non-heated and rectangular in shape, measuring 7 by 15 metres with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 2 metres. It is lined with PVC and finished with a travertine edge, and water purification is managed through a salt-based system. The surrounding sunbathing area is well equipped with sunbeds, chairs, tables, and a cold-water shower, and the entire pool area benefits from dedicated lighting for evening use. The ground floor features an entrance hall with access to the staircase leading to the upper levels, an open-plan living room with a sitting area and dining table, and a kitchen with an adjoining pantry. The first floor contains 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Between the first and second floors, a mezzanine level houses a small guest bathroom. The second floor offers a sitting room, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a further bathroom with shower.
Annex 1 is spread over 2 floors connected by an internal staircase. The ground floor comprises a sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a guest bathroom. The first floor features a sitting room, 2 double bedrooms — one of which is fitted with a bed measuring 1.40 metres in width — a bathroom with bathtub, and a twin bedroom with joinable beds and an ensuite bathroom with shower.
Annex 2 offers a living area with sofas and a television, with direct access to the pool area, as well as a bathroom with shower. It should be noted that the existing fireplaces throughout the property are not usable.

The booking also includes the Zer0Dep Guarantee, meaning guests are not required to pay a security deposit either on balance or upon arrival.
