The entire property consists of the Podere of about 8 hectares of fields and oak woods. The access road to the property continues beyond the small bridge to the end of its run to the houses of the ancient Mulino del Doccio.
Il Doccio only 6km from Terranuova Bracciolini or Loro Ciuffenna where you can find anything you need. The valley is neighbour to Firenze/Florence (N), Arezzo (S), the Chianti area (W) and the Pratomagno mountain chain (E).

The Experience
This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate. The English speaking estate staff can organize cooking lessons, visits to the wine cellars and will be glad to assist guests during their stay.
When you arrive you’ll find a nice clean well-maintained property with views of the hills perfect for a splendid holiday in Tuscany. Regardless of how you spend your days - visiting museums, sightseeing, shopping or just driving in the countryside, when you arrive home you can unwind with your family and friends at the pool for a perfect ending to another day in Tuscany. Please note that there is a part of the castle closed to our guests that belongs to one of the owners of the castle that is totally separated inside and outside and where our guests don't have access since the park and the indoor are totally separated by walls and fence outside. Everything is described and pictures is what will be of exclusive use of guests staying at the castle who will have exclusive use of the interiors and garden here described.

Here guests are welcomed into six charming units that reflect a rare and authentic form of hospitality: the Albergo diffuso—literally, a ‘scattered hotel’. Developed in Italy, this model revitalizes once-abandoned villages by blending comfort with local tradition in a truly immersive experience- in fact the "borgo" is a shared community between locals that live here permanently, and travelers that was born in the late 1980's.
Our collaboration with this placa was born to promote a network of local chefs, farmers, winemakers, guides, and hospitality professionals — all working together to create meaningful moments that we hope will make your stay one to remember.
