Description

Villa Saida is built respecting the traditions of Tuscany, using materials available in the area, like wooden beams and rafters handcrafted on local walnut. Also materials for roof and floor are handmade in Tuscany. Certainly modernity is not forgotten. The value of the structure does not derive only from the high quality of the materials and from many comforts, but also from its location: in fact, on an area from where we can enjoy an unique view of the Alpi Apuane (the marble mountains), the Rocca Ariostesca in the centre of Castelnuovo, reachable walking on a shaded road, the Monte Alfonso and its fortress (that is part of the natural park of the Alpi Apuane) and finally the Appennino. In the river Serchio Valley we can see the Villetta bridge, one of the highest rail bridge of Italy. On the left we can admire the Pania della Croce, while on the right the beautiful "Pania di Corfino", a rocky group on which there is the Orecchiella Park, and at the far end the pass of the Radici inside the Appennino Park that, when snowy in winter, is a incredible sight. The area offers the possibility to practise many sports (trekking, golf, mountain bike, horse riding, in addition of the near tennis courts and soccer fields). Also other outdoor activities are available for a complete relaxation.
A little farer than twenty kilometres there are the Bagni di Lucca baths, already famous at the roman age, where there are particular kind of warm and healthy waters and mud. Many Tuscan tourist resorts are easily reachable: art and historic towns like Lucca, Pisa, Firenze are close to the Villa. Less than an hour is needed to reach the Versilia seaside, while in winter there are many locations where we can go skiing (Careggine, Casone di Profecchia, Abetone, Radici e Val di Luce).

PARK: The Villa lies in a wonderful garden of about 4.066 square yards, confines with the wood at one side and has a fence all around with an entrance equipped by an automated gate and divided in two: one for cars and a second for persons.

POOL:
The pool, from where you can see a wonderful sight, is 14 X 6 meters and constantly deep 1,50 meter .+ Hydro massage area of 90 cm. depth. about. There are four positions for water message and is equipped by garden furniture like easy chairs and beds for sun baths.

DISTANCES: the center of Castelnuovo Garfagnana is about 800 mt far and can be reached on foot very easily.

The OWNER lives about 2 km from the villa, so he is available for any need of the renters. The villa offers a very good privacy; only when cleanings of the pool, and garden maintainance are necessary, the owner can come to the villa, but he is glad to arrange this with the renters in advance, and come when they prefer.

Beautiful, eighteenth-century villa situated in a dominant position on the hills of the Versilia coastline. This property offers amazing views over the surrounding landscape extending to the Tuscan islands and the Cinque Terre in the distance.

The villa has been recently renovated and provides fine interiors furnished with unique pieces, beautiful frescoed walls and comfort of any kind. Outside there is a large, well-groomed, 8000-square-meter garden with fruit trees (tangerine, orange, kiwi and pear trees), fountains and a spacious panoramic terrace with a nice gazebo which is ideal for al-fresco dining. The property consists of a main house and a small apartment (located a few meters away) obtained from the restoration of an ancient mill (the wooden and iron mill machineries are perfectly preserved inside the house).

Furthermore, depending on availability, it is also possible to book the entire “Casa dei Glicini” (4 apartments) for exclusive use, for groups of maximum 16 people.

The owners, from their love for the land and respect for our territory, developed the idea of a building that could be strongly in harmony with nature. But, at the same time, that could offer all the comforts of a charming accommodation.
Innovation, eco-sustainability and comfort. These are the principles that guided the renovation of "Casa dei Glicini".
The best technology was selected, in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Eco-sustainability is guaranteed by a careful choice of construction materials: "Casa dei Glicini" is entirely built in wood.
The thermal coat is also built in wood fiber, for optimal thermal and acoustic insulation.
The solar panel system makes "Casa dei Glicini" completely autonomous in terms of electricity consumption.
The energy efficiency of the house reaches the maximum level (energy class A4).

"Casa dei Glicini" has the controlled mechanical ventilation system (Mechanical Extract Ventilation, MEV) in each apartment: thanks to a continuous analysis of the air quality inside the rooms, this system regulates temperature (cooling or heating) and humidity and ensures a continuous exchange of air in order to ensure maximum living comfort.

Each apartment is equipped with a Smart-TV with satellite channels and Wi-Fi.

The attention to the smallest details in the internal and external areas ensure the best holiday experience.

The outdoor spaces of the house, which have also been recently renovated, have been designed for an immersion in the nature.
Each of the two apartments on the ground floor have a veranda.
The rest of the garden is shared between all apartments, and it is composed of a small lawn, and a common area equipped with a table and chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue.

Location and distances:
The property is located in "Ghiare", hamlet of Levanto. It is 2 km from the center of Levanto, and 2.5 km from the nearest beach.

Levanto train station is 1.8 km away (3 minutes by car, 7 minutes by bike, 20 minutes on foot).
The closest beach is 2.5km away (6 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike, 30 minutes on foot).
The road is flat, and, given the presence of the cycling-pedestrian path that connects Levanto to Bonassola and Framura, getting around by bicycle is an excellent solution.
The property is located 30 meters above sea level and it can be easily reached by bicycle, if you are used to riding a bit.

For stays falling between 22 March and 31 October, heating is available but must be paid on the spot. Parking is available directly on the premises at no additional inconvenience to guests. A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding area comfortably. The property is particularly well suited for families. Please be aware that the owner does not accept youth groups. The neighbourhood is described as highly sensitive to noise, and guests are therefore expected to maintain quietness and good behaviour throughout their stay. The wearing of bathing caps is obligatory when using the swimming pool. A bus stop is located just 100 metres from the property, offering convenient access to local transport links.

A beautiful panoramic garden with a pool reserved for the use of the seven apartments offers guests the chance to relax and enjoy the outdoor space, along with a furnished area with a pergola and a barbecue corner.
The property lies in Gualdo, a charming village upon the hills of Lucca dating back to the 1400’s. Within the town, visitors will find a quiet atmosphere. Along with a church, at the town’s main square there is also a restaurant where visitors can enjoy dining al fresco during the summer period. Not far from the area is the beautiful Versilia zone, the Apuan Alps and the historical cities Lucca and Pisa.
