The foundations of Villa Medicea Lo Sprocco date back to the 1400s, commissioned by Lorenzo and Giovanni de' Medici, sons of Pier Francesco, and later sold to Taddeo Ducci in 1494. A cornerstone of the ancient Medici lineage, the Villa incorporates an 11th-century Ubaldina tower and was chosen by Lorenzo the Magnificent as a hunting lodge. After passing through the Gherardi family, the property was acquired by the Bolognese de' Bianchi family. Major restorations were initiated in 1898 by Count Filippo Sassoli de' Bianchi to restore its 15th-century appearance, despite significant 18th-century refurbishments, including the still-consecrated Chapel dated 1729. Key internal features include the Salone dei Medici with a 14th-century pietra serena fireplace bearing the Medici coat of arms, and the Papal Apartment which once hosted Popes Leo X and Clement VII.

Renata is nicknamed Nonna Renata (Grandmother Renata) because of her age, but also because of the way she makes you feel at home in the villa. She is like a sweet grandmother who makes delicious dishes to make you taste Medici's dishes and ancient Tuscan dishes.

The queen of breakfast. Her cakes are among the best reviewed aspects of the villa. They are homemade and made early in the morning, just before the customers arrive in the salon near the kitchen. You will be greeted by an unbeatable scent of sweet cakes.
She is always prepared to demonstrate her techniques for baking delicious cakes, which you can then recreate when you return home.

The 8 bedroom Villa Sant’Angelo is immersed in the enchanting Tuscany hills. It’s an old country manor which once belonged to the noble family of Conti Ghezzi who loved to spend their holidays here.
Recently restored it has managed to maintain its original charm thanks to the rare finishings: antique wooden beams, terracotta tiles, stone fireplaces in the large rooms, choice of colours and the very large illuminated environment.
The furniture has been carefully chosen, both functional and comfortable, but distinguishable with the elegant Tuscany classical style furniture which can be found in most homes today.

The villa is completely enclosed by a fence and has an independent entrance and enjoys complete privacy. A large garden surrounds the house and here there is a private swimming pool (16m x 8m depth 1.5 mt).
From here, following a footpath, you can reach a lake, tennis court, and also other trekking footpaths within the densely thick woods.
Our guests are free to explore the farm and have free access to the large biological vegetable garden which has been cultivated using old traditional methods.

The pool is covered in PVC with internal lighting, features chlorine purification, a submerged ladder, counter-current swimming, and manually operated geysers, and is heated by solar panels. It is accessible via a 30-meter path and is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The surrounding solarium is paved with travertine and wood and furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a shaded gazebo. Adjacent to the main pool is a second circular children's pool, covered in mosaic, with shallow water, hydromassage, and a shower with both hot and cold water. The entire pool area is fenced for safety and privacy. Beyond the pools, the estate offers an impressive range of outdoor sporting and recreational facilities. A private fenced tennis court, covered in synthetic grass and equipped with lighting, covers approximately 400 sqm and is situated around 60 meters from the main house, adjacent to the parking area. 4 rackets are available for guest use. Four charming apartments in a farmhouse (composed in total by 4 units) that was originally a watchtower during the war between the Florence and Siena republics. Today it is the guesthouse of a 16th century villa, where the property owners reside. The property is in a tranquil location at the center of a 12 hectare farm that produces wine and olive oil. At the same time it is just 350 m from the center of a small, charactaristic village where a bus can take you to Florence in just 20 minutes. Beautiful view of the countryside. Each apartment has its own large, private outdoor space, and the beautiful, enclosed, shared pool sits among olive trees, overlooking the country landscape (85 m from the house). Upon request, it is possible to visit the garden of the main villa, with its ancient interconnecting pools fed by a natural spring and age-old lemon trees. The apartments are furnished in simple, rustic style. Access to the property is via a 250 m unpaved but well-maintained road.
