One of the best parts about holidaying in Croatia has to be spending time on her incredible beaches. The country is a rather well-preserved natural gem, generally, and the coast is particularly lovely. There is endless choice as there are so many incredible beaches to choose from but we've been highlighting some of our favourites in this series of posts. Here are some more of the best beaches in Croatia…
5. Girandella Beach
Another beach in Istria Girandella Beach lies near Rabac and is one of those postcard images come to life. A Blue Flag beach, it is made up of white pebbles lapped by impossibly blue water and is popular with elderly groups, young couples and families alike.

You can go banana boating and tubing, play beach volleyball, swim and take strolls along the promenade and there is something for everyone. Most of all, bring back the sight of those vibrant shades to get you through cold winters, I know that the pictures, alone, are helping me out…
6. Lone Bay
The beaches of Istria range from pebbly to stony to rocky. There are very few sandy beaches in Istria. Despite this, there are some of the loveliest beaches in the country on this coast and it boasts some of the clearest water, making it a great area for those interested in diving or snorkelling, in particular.
Rovinj is one of the best areas to choose, with a series of small bays located within easy strolling distance of the town centre. Among these, Lone Bay is the closest. Made up of several coves with Rovinj’s picturesque skyline as a backdrop, it is a pretty and laid-back beach, perfect for families who want to wander down from the town. Just find a vacation rental in Rovinj and spend long days having fun cycling, renting boats and playing in the water before heading back to the town to fill empty tummies with delicious local seafood.
Of course, there are many more excellent beaches so be sure to read on to the next posts in this series.
