Voidokoilia Beach, Peloponnese
This beach may be familiar to you as it has gone viral in recent years due to its photogenic nature and the many images of it that have been shared online.

Unspoiled, beautiful and looking more like something purposefully created by man than the naturally occurring paradise that it is, it is a perfect semicircle of white sand lapped by blue-green seas.
Referred to in Homer's Odyssey and believed to have been used by King Nestor as a port in ancient times, it is a perfect curving bay that stretches between the two rocky promontories that define the entrance of it. Along with the equally fascinating wetlands of Divari lagoon of Gialova (or Osman Aga lagoon), the beach has been designated as a European Ecological Natura 2000 Site and is a must-see for anyone who has found a vacation rental in Peloponnese.
Porto Katsiki Beach, Lefkada Island
Located on Lefkada Island, Porto Katsiki Beach is one of the most beautiful Greek beaches and is consistently voted as one of the best beaches in Europe.

Surrounded by hills and set at the foot of an enormous white cliff that turns orange at sunset, it is an impossibly lovely stretch of golden sand that is lapped by the gentle waves (though these can become high in the afternoon and the beach is not manned by a lifeguard, so be careful!) of the crystal clear blue sea. Just find a vacation rental in the Ionian Islands and spend lazy days on this picture-perfect beach.
Of course, there are more beaches worth mentioning so be sure to read on to the last post in this series!
