Many are drawn to Croatia as a holiday destination for the sun and fun that is promised by the long coast, perfect weather and impossibly blue waters of the Adriatic. There are many coastal cities to explore but the 2,000 year old charming city of Trogir has to be one of our favourites among them all. Croatia is famous for its beautiful coast and beaches and playing in the water a little is a prerequisite of holidaying in the country. Trogir is the perfect place to do exactly that. 5. Girandella Beach

Another beach in Istria Girandella Beach lies near Rabac and is one of those postcard images come to life. A Blue Flag beach, it is made up of white pebbles lapped by impossibly blue water and is popular with elderly groups, young couples and families alike.
