Oppède is a stunning town that is made up of an old town – a well-preserved medieval core that is beyond picturesque – and a new town in the region of Provence-alpes-côte D'azur. It is a place of winding streets, beautiful historic buildings, houses swathed in bright flowers climbing up the walls, and pretty little eateries with bistro tables set up outside for people-watching as you dine. But that’s not where the charms of this part of the world end. All around the town, you can find lush countryside that is full of wonderful hiking and biking trails, lavender fields, castles dotted here and there, and vineyards. It truly is a magical place that seems almost conjured from fantasies about what life in the south of France is like. Not far from this charming town, in that lovely landscape, you can find Villa Les Poulivets, one of our favourite villas in Provence.
