Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!

Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. The house is on the top floor of a historic building from the late 1500s, built on a pre-existing medieval tower by Emilio Luci, one of the officials of the Medici family and the Grand Duche of Tuscany.
The entrance to the apartment is accessible by climbing 51 steps from the street level.
The parking (free) is located under the city walls and about 250 meters from the building. When registering with the owners, access to the historic center is authorized by car to facilitate the unloading of luggage.
