Once the summer retreat of Florentine nobility, the villa retains its magnificent Renaissance heritage through original frescoes, coffered ceilings, and painted walls that speak eloquently of its distinguished past. The property is surrounded by terraced gardens and an olive grove, and features a sweeping panoramic veranda that frames the Tuscan landscape in every season. Guests benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, and private parking is available on-site for up to 6 vehicles, ensuring complete convenience from arrival to departure. The expansive yard, encompassing approximately 3,000 square metres of terraced gardens and an olive grove of around one hectare, provides a serene and private setting that is reserved exclusively for guests. The owner resides discreetly in a separate wing on the ground floor with an independent entrance and does not make use of the garden or pool, which remain entirely at your disposal throughout your stay.
Outdoors
The outdoor spaces of Villa Treggiaia are as remarkable as its interior, offering a succession of beautifully landscaped terraces that unfold across two levels. On the upper terrace, a lawned area directly outside the villa provides an ideal setting for relaxation, centred around a pergola-covered dining area that is perfect for alfresco meals in the shade. A few steps lead down to the lower terrace, where the swimming pool takes pride of place within a fully fenced enclosure approximately 20 metres from the villa. The pool is non-heated, rectangular in shape, and measures 12 by 5 metres with a constant depth of 1.40 metres. It is lined in light-coloured PVC and maintained with chlorine purification, accessible via a metal ladder. The surrounding solarium is paved in terracotta and furnished with sunbeds, while a gazebo shaded by jasmine provides a charming spot with a table and chairs for leisurely afternoons. Mediterranean vegetation, ancient olive trees, and open views across the Tuscan countryside complete this peaceful outdoor sanctuary. Both internal and garden lighting are activated automatically via a twilight sensor. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what you observe upon arrival.
Unit Layout
Villa Treggiaia is a generously proportioned historic residence spread across two principal floors and an additional tower, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests across 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. On the ground floor, you are welcomed by an entrance hall that leads to a living room with a French window opening onto the garden, a double bedroom, a guest bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a further double bedroom featuring a loft bed and a separate outdoor access point. The mezzanine floor offers an additional guest bathroom and access to the tower, which is not suitable for children, elderly guests, or those with reduced mobility. This level also includes a kitchenette, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with shower, reached via a further staircase with steep and narrow steps.
